As for Steven, with Bella on his shoulder, they were both terrified by all the screeches and Steven could understand that them by hearing the loud bellows and cries as cackling and maniacal laughing

POV/ Steven- I looked right at her and she was looking straight at me, I couldn't shake it off but, It was like she was watching me

She then ran into the undergrowth leaving me and Bella petrified

At least that could help get my mind off things, we then left the pen but I knew the big one would mean what she said, but I knew she couldn't go anywhere but I get she could find a way, I didn't want to chance it so I ran back to the others
