Strange Places

I woke up in a weird place, it sounded like a hospital. I opened my eyes seeing a nurse talking to a woman. The nurse left letting me finally make out the woman's face. "Natasha?" She looked down at me smiling "Your awake that's a good sign." I looked at her with disbelief in my eyes "What happened? Why am I here?" She took a deep breath "You got shot, when the group started to fight. Steve and Barnes got away in the jet thanks to me, and the kid took you to the hospital." I nodded "Why did you help them?" She smiled "I owe Steve my life so I was returning the favor."

I rested my head back down on the pillow. "Where are the others?" she ignored my question "You should try to get some rest" I looked at Natasha "Where are they Natalia?" She flinched when I used her real name "Their in jail" I closed my eyes letting out a long breath "I should be with them" She gripped my hand "No you shouldn't your hurt" I pulled my hand away from hers "Their my team I should be with them" Natasha looked at her feet. The doctor came in "Good your up. How do you feel Ms L/N?" I looked at the doctor "I feel fine, when can I leave?" He smiled warmly at me "You can leave after we run a few more test" I clenched my jaw, "How long have I been her doc?" he looked at his notes "Only a few days" I gave him a thumbs up rubbing y head. When he left Natasha went to speak but I cut her off "Out Natalia. I don't want you here" she sighed sitting in the seat next to the bed "I'm staying"

When I woke up the next morning I was shocked to see Nat holding my hand. I pulled it away reaching over to the table grabbing my phone. A nurse came into the room. "Good morning how are you?" I smiled setting my cell down "I'm good, I have a little bit of pain but nothing I can't handle" she smiled lifting up my shirt checking the bandaids. "Your good to go, just make sure to change your bandaids daily" I nodded taking the form from her hands. "Your check out time is 11" she starting to take out the IV's. She pulled the equipment out of the room while I filled out the form, I didn't hear Natasha wake up when I got out of the bed so I could change my clothes. "Do you need help?" I look up seeing Natasha's reflection in the mirror. "No I'm ok, you can leave, I'll be fine." She shook her head no sitting down on the chair gathering her things. "Natasha really you don't have to stay" she looked up meting my eyes "I want to, you were there for me when I got shot" she pulled up her shirt where she was shot at

I tied up my hair "How did you come to join the Avengers?" she had a faint smile "Clint saved my life. I joined SHEILD, they wanted me to join the avengers so I did. What about you how did you meet Rogers?" I turned around leaning against the wall "I got close with Bucky after the red room experiments, then when he went into the ice I escaped. I found out they never took his memory of me away so when he showed up at my house asking if I'd help them I agreed." she looked down "Did you two" I laughed "No I mean a couple of time but it was never serious, he's a good friend of mine Tasha and I love him to death" Natasha nodded "Do you need help walking out?" I shook my head "I got shot in my rib not my legs, I can walk" she smiled as we walked side by side to the exit
