TOPH POV

"Your look beautiful Toph."

"Thanks babe. You look great."

He chuckled a little and grabbed my hand and spinned me around. "Toph! Rio." Katara yelled coming to the house.

"Finally, late for your own party." I let go of Rio's hand and hugged Katara.

"I kept forgetting the party supplies." Bumi and Izumi were turning 13 and Bumi desperately wanted a party. Izumi is just 3 days younger so she decided to throw a birthday party for both of them. I thought it was a stupid idea, but Lin said she wanted to go to a party so I agreed. I had a big open space in my house so I had no problem hosting it.

Bumi, Kya, and Tenzin all came in, Aang behind them. "Ay birthday boy! How are you feeling?" Rio yelled playfully walking up to the new teenager.

I had met Rio about 3 months ago. *Flash back*

I was walking down the street to my office when a man approached me. "Do you believe in love at first sight? Or should I walk by again?" He asked.

I couldn't help but burst into laughter at his choice of pick up lines. "I don't believe in sight at all." He was confused for a second before looking me up and down.

"Oh, OH, Your chief beifong!"

"Didn't realize." I said sarcastically.

"I'm so sorry. Your beautiful, don't get to see a lot of women as good looking as you." His flirty made me cringe. "Would you like to go get some food?" I was hungry, and I needed something to get my mind off of Sokka.

"Sure." Many guys have tried to flirt with me before and I have immediately turned them down, but for some reason this guy seemed different. 3 months later he is my boyfriend. I wasn't in love with him. I hated feeling like I was using him, but I couldn't break it off. He was so kind, every time I was even about to bring it up I couldn't bring myself to hurt him.

*end of flash back*

"Rio." Bumi said stiffly. He didn't like Rio. No one did. Not because he wasn't a nice guy, he was very nice, he always tried to make the kids like him, brought them present, offered to take them places, but the didn't like him strictly for the reason they wanted me and Sokka to get back together.

"I bought you something!" Rio said.

"The gift table is over there." Bumi pointed to the table by the window in the big ballroom.

"Oh Bumi stop with your jokes!" Aang said nervously.

"Im not joking-" Katara slapped her hand over Bumi's mouth before he could say anything more.

"Bumi! Help me with the decorations." Katara walked by grabbing Bumi's hand. Bumi whispered into my ear as he walked by.

"Your better with Sokka." I bended the earth under him making him trip.

"Whoops, sorry Bumi."

"So Rio... how are you?" Aang asked awkwardly.

"Good. I've been.." There voices faded as I felt familiar footsteps coming into the house.

"Hey! Sokka bud thanks for coming! I know Bumi will be happy!" Aang and Sokka shared a hug and then broke apart.

"Rio." Rio stuck out his hand wanting Sokka to shake it.

"Nice to meet you." Sokka responded. It wasn't sincere, but it was better than nothing.

"T. Hows the baby?" He came in for a hug that I quickly dodged and high fived him instead.
