Michael kissed Tessa and Ella on the forehead, “have a great spring break, save some sunshine for me.” He gave Kate a kiss on the cheek, which she gladly ignored.
She went in her purse to triple check she had the plane tickets, “we’ll be back next Sunday, don’t do anything stupid.”
“Me? Stupid? Never,” he sarcastically said, standing to the side to let a few people pass in front of them for security.
Tessa gave an extra hug to her father, not really wanting to let go just yet. He kissed her once more, squeezing her tightly. The color at the ends of her hair was almost invisible now and Kate wouldn’t let her re-dye it.
He stood at the top of the ramp, watching them get through security carefully. With their pony-tails swishing, they made their way.
To / Lukey
the girls just left, so I’ll be around your place in about 40
Michael sent the text, waving one last time to his girls. He started making his way back to the parking lot. The cold breeze of the parking garage hitting his face.
He had the next week planned out. He was going to show Luke that he was serious about the two of them. Michael was willing to try and make a relationship work between the two, even if he wasn’t technically divorced yet. All he had to do was sign a few more papers, then his conscious would be clean one again.
Luke smiled like a giddy kid as he waited by the front door, his bags packed next to him. He was beyond excited to spend his spring break at Michael’s, even if they were just staying at his house, it was exciting for the small blonde.
His last true relationship was almost a decade ago, he thinks Michael loves him, or at least is on his way to loving him.
Jack snickered from the breakfast table, “are you really waiting for him like a lost puppy?”
“Hey!” Ashton yelled from the kitchen, “what did I tell you about teasing him?”
“Right, sorry, Daddy,” the tan guitar tech responded, turning around to see his boyfriend’s reaction.
“Jack Bassam Bara—.”
“What are you gonna do?” Jack smiled, chewing on his gum loudly, “punish me?”
Luke bursted out into laughter, he loved his friends, he really, really, really loved his friends. He shifted on his feet, fixing the black beanie on his head.
“Do not encourage him,” Ashton said as he walked past with a steaming hot omelet. He got a slap to the bum by his hyper boyfriend. “You are so annoying, why am I with you?” Ash looked down at the sharpie-covered table with disgust, “honestly.”
“‘cause I’m cute.”
Luke watching as the bright red sports car came rolling into the freshly-plowed driveway. “I’m leaving now! See you in a week!”
He could hear Jack snicker a, “he won’t be able to walk,” followed my another slap to the head.
Michael got out of his car, helping Luke with his unnecessarily heavy bag. He pressed a kiss to Luke’s mouth before popping the trunk and shoving the bag in.
Luke got into the passenger, listening to Down by Blink-182 blaring from the speakers. He knew the older lad so well, he recognized every song on his car playlist. He also knew Mike had a f.ucking playlist, but they haven’t had a bunch of chances to use that yet.
