After moving to the Alola region, Ash enrolled in the Pokémon School, where he and Pikachu have met many new friends and Pokémon. They're learning new things and having exciting adventures every day!

Third Person P.O.V

Ash shifts in his sleep, before waking up. He sits up looking at his z-ring remembering his battle with Tapu Koko.

FlashBack

"Go Pikachu!" Ash exclaims. "Here we go... FULL POWER, NOW!" Tapu Koko shields itself as Nikki holds Luna. Ash's Z-Crystal disintegrates into dust right in front of his eyes.

Ash snaps out of his trance, just as Rotom and Blair wake up. "Morning! Right on schedule! Time to wake up... Ash! Your already up!" Rotom shouts. Blaire floats down to Nikki's Bedroom and goes in only to be pushed back out. "Stay out of my Room!" Ash hears Nikki yell.

"What have you done with the Ash who sleeps late!?" Rotom shouts. "I would be happy to trade with you Rotom! Your not the one who just got pushed out of someone's bedroom!" Blaire yells at him. "Anyways why are you up?" Blaire says coming closer.

"I can't wait until I can use a Z-Move again! Which means I'm gonna have to get myself a Z-Crystal!" Ash says as Pikachu is still sleeping on the floor.

Ash's P.O.V

"A Z-Crystal?" Professor Kukui questions. "Yeah, I want to get a whole lot stronger and then have a rematch with Tapu Koko." I replied placing my bowl down on the counter. "I wanna try those Z-Moves again. Yeah! Right, buddy?" I look over to Pikachu to see him with a stuffed mouth and stomach.

"You're as fired up as if you were hit by a Blast Burn!" Professor Kukui says. "I remember! You can earn Z-Crystals by going through the island challenge. Isn't that right?" I said showing him my Z-Ring.

"It isn't the only way, but going through the island challenge is the most certain way! The key to your success is to pass the grand trial of each of the island's kahunas."

"So how do you do that?" I asked putting my glass down. "I will answer that with pleasure! A grand trial is a battle between the Trainer and the island kahuna. If the Trainer wins, the kahuna acknowledges the Trainer's worthiness." Rotom explains.

"Whoa! Sound like fun!" I said getting close to Rotom."Fun? You're up against a kahuna, so if you're too overconfident, you can get yourself hurt! And..." Professor Kukui explains before getting cut off.

"According to my data, a grand trial is proceeded by lesser trials the must be overcome first." Rotom explains as Pikachu and Rockruff continue to eat faster.

"First some little trials, then BOOM!" I said shorting their explanation. Suddenly Blair comes to us sadly and hovers next to Rotom.

"What's wrong Blaire?" Professor Kukui asks. "W-well this morning Nikki pushed me out of her room and now I can't find her!" Blaire says as tears stream down her face. "You can cry!" I asked her making more tears come.

"Well Nikki isn't that open after something that happened a long time ago, but I'm sure she'll warm up to you. Why don't you come with us, because we're going to pay a visit to Hala the island Kahuna." Professor Kukui says.
