Justifiable Homicide

Mary's POV
After all the universe swap thing, we got back to hunting but it is like monsters are coming out of the woodwork. "I've been getting blasts from hunters all week. Nest of vamps. Werewolf dance party. Shifters, six of them. Two hunters died taking them out. Ghouls, ghouls. Ghoul-wraith smorgasbord." Bobby said. "Is it just me, or is that a straight kick-line down I-80?" Alison said. "Exactly." Ma said nodding. "Looks to me like it's a Sherman march monster mash." I said. "Yeah, but where are they marching to?" Sam asked. Pa circled a place on the map. "What is it?" Kara asked. "Guy bashes in his family's heads." Pa said. We left and changed in FBI outfits.

We were now sitting in the interrogating room, we left Sammi at Bobby's due to Reece and Evelyn wanting to take her on a girls day. "It's like I told the cops. I blacked out." Rick, the killer, said. "Well, just tell us what you do remember." Ricky said. "Driving my regular route, and then I-I woke up in my truck at work." Rick said. "And where's work?" I asked smiling. "Starlight Cannery. I-I didn't remember how I got there... So I called home. When no one picked up. I-I went there, and I found..." Rick trailed off. "Anything unusual before you blacked out? Sights, smells, anything off the routine?" Ma asked nicely. "No. Basic night. I was giving some kid from the truck stop a ride. She took off. I-I think she took off." Rick said. "Anything else?" Alison asked. "I swear– I didn't mean to do it. I-I loved them." Rick said. We were now looking at the laptop. "So, demon possession or ghosts? I thought this was a monster thing." Dean said. "All right, here we go." Sam said showing us the computers. "Truck stop, night of the murders." Kara said. "That's him." I said. "Hmm. Hello." Dean said seeing the girl and Kara smacked him. "Freakish nightmare. What the hell is that?" Ricky said seeing the face. "Hades?" Ma asked. "I've never seen that in my life. All those vamps and ghouls out on I-80 – maybe they're coming in for Mother's Day." Pa said. "Um...Okay, well, if that is big mama – whatever she is, we got zero on ganking her. So what are we gonna do if we run into her? Throw salt and hope?" Kara asked. "No, we're gonna turn tail and run, because we're in over our heads." Ma said. "I mean, we better get some real info on this bitch before we do run into her." I said. "Hey, let's go." An officer said. "What's the ruckus?" Pa asked. "A guy just went postal down at the Cannery." An officer said. "Okay, I'll go. You finish here." Ma said leaving. We got to the Cannery warehouse looking around. "I don't know how you kept your license." I heard Ma said. "Well, look what the cat dragged in." Ricky said, we saw Rufus, Bobby, Ma, Evelyn, Reece, and Sammi. "It really is good to see you, Rufus." I said. "I can believe it. It must get old dealing with this miserable cuss here all by yourself." Rufus said. "Is it that obvious?" Sam asked. "Why don't you three get a room?" Bobby asked. "All right, we all pack a snack?" Kara asked. "Yeah." Sammi said. "Let's see what we can see." Dean said. We were sitting around the door opened and we saw Gwen Campbell. "Gwen?" Alison asked. "Alison." Gwen said. I saw Samuel and I clenched my fists. "Welcome to next time." Dean said, me just glaring at Samuel and I took my gun out. "No, no, no, no! Hold on!" Sam said stoping me. "I said I'd kill him!" I yelled. "Look, just a second." Sam said. "I take it you know each other." Rufus said. "He's our grandfather." Dean said. "Oh. Somebody needs a hug." Rufus said. "Why are you here?" Pa and Bobby asked. "We're working. You?" Samuel said. "None of your damn business!" I growled out. "Sam, take Mae for a walk." Ma said. "You got to be kidding me." I said. "Look, Mae, it's fine." Sam said. "How?" I asked and Sam picked me up walking out of the room as I struggled to get out of his grip. "What is wrong with you?" I asked Sam as he set me outside. "Look, maybe he knows something." Sam said. "You don't remember what he did. I do." I said. "I know. I'm not saying don't. I'm saying not yet." Sam said walking back in and I saw Samuel's car. I shrugged taking my lighting bolt blade and slashed the tires.
Ricky's POV
I stood there looking at the abusive asshole, a bitch, my friends, and family. "So...you're Samuel."  Bobby said. "You must be the guy pretending to be their father." Samuel said. "Well, somebody ought to and I'm not for Mae." Bobby said. "You think she's my family?" Samuel asked. "You asshole." I said and Sam walked in. "Sam. You're looking well." Samuel said. "Save the small talk, all right?" Sam said. "You seem different." Samuel said. "I got my soul back. No thanks to you, I hear." Sam said. "You hear? You don't remember." Samuel said. "I remember enough." Sam said. "I, uh, really hate to break up this little circle of love, but why don't we talk shop, huh? How about you tell us what it is you're hunting?" Rufus said. "A creature from Purgatory. She calls herself Eve." Samuel said. "Eve?" Kara said. "That's a hookers name." Reece said. "What's a hooker?" Sammi asked. "Ask your brother." Evelyn said. "I'm not telling her." I said. "Yep. They call her mother. She was here about 10,000 years ago. Every freak that walks the face of the earth can be traced back to her. And she's back." Samuel said. "How the hell do you know all that?" Persephone asked quirking an eyebrow. "You don't know half the things that I know, god. Hell, until recently, you didn't even know about us." Samuel said. "I now understand Mae's reasoning for wanting to shoot him." Alison said. "I now know that you'd throw your own kin to hungry ghouls. I think I know enough." Bobby said. "You what?" Gwen asked. "Mae lied to the man." Samuel said. "No she didn't." Kara, Dean, Sammi, and I said. "How about you ask Mae?" Hades asked. "Good idea." Gwen said leaving. Dean followed
Mary's POV
I was stabbing the dirt. "Mae. Is it true?" Gwen asked. "What?" I asked. "Did Samuel really try to..." Gwen trailed off. "Kill me? Yes. He didn't even blink, he also verbally and one time physically abused me. That's the guy you're rolling with." I said. "He didn't tell me anything about that. I didn't know." Gwen said. "I know." I said. "Honestly, there's something I need to tell you." Dean said behind her. "What?" Gwen asked and Dean shot Gwen in the heart. He dropped the gun and ran away they others ran out, all they saw was the gun, me, and dead Gwen. "See if you can plug that hole up, Bobby." Rufus said as Sam checked her pulse than looked at me. "What the hell Mary Isla Winchester?" Sam asked. "I didn't it was Dean." I said. "Come on, girl! Come on! Come on! Come on!" Pa said doing chest compressions. "She's gone." Ma said. "Ah, damn it." Pa said. "I'm sorry... If you care." Bobby said. "Screw you. I care, she's a killer." Samuel said pointing at me. "No, that's not Mae's gun, plus Mae would use a blade. Dean would shoot." Kara said. "Where's Dean?" Rufus asked the Harvelle siblings. "I couldn't find him. Whatever got into those guys must have got into Dean." Sammi said. "Rufus, help Samuel move her somewhere. The others and I will lock down here. We're gonna want to find Dean before he finds us." I said. "We're gonna find him alive, Samuel, or I'm gonna put a bullet into your head." Sam said. We looked and found Dean pointing a gun at Rufus. "Dean, put that damn thing down. Dean, put it down." Rufus said. "You're the least of my worries right now, Rufus." Dean said pointing at Samuel, maybe we shouldn't stop him, it would be justifiable homicide. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey." Sam said stopping Dean. "Okay, both of you." Bobby and Pa said. "Both of us, my ass." Rufus said rolling his eyes. "I'm not in the mood. I just had a 12-inch... Herpe crawl out of my ear." Dean said. "What?" Ricky asked. "You heard me. I just woke up on the ground, just in time to see this – this... worm thing sliding out of my freaking ear and into that vent. So you tell me what the hell's going on!" Dean said. "You killed Gwen. That's what's going on." Samuel said. "Is it bad I wish it was you." I said and everyone looked at me. "You little bitch." Samuel said trying to attack me and Rufus grabbed him. "I may not know her well, but you don't attack a child." He said. "She went out to talk to Mae. That's the last thing I remember. That thing must have jumped me." Dean said. "So, we're talking about, like, a monster that gets in you?" Sammi said. "Why am I now thinking of something dirty." Reece said. "Get help." Alison said. "It's like a Khan worm on steroids." Dean said. "You mean like a parasite, something that took over your body." I said. "Worm crawls in you, worm crawls out." Dean said. "Monster possession? That's novel." Ma said. "Or that thing's still in you, and we can't trust a word that you're saying or maybe it went in Mae." Samuel said, seriously Samuel just wants me dead. "It's not!" Dean and I said. "Check your ears." Bobby said. "What do you mean, check my ear? Check my ear for what?" Dean said and Ricky stuck his finger in my ear. "Hey! What? Why don't you buy me a drink first?" I said to my friend. "Second date. Oh, yeah, we're goo positive." Rufus said smirking. "What does that mean? What does that mean?" Dean asked very confused. "That means it was in you, all right." Rufus said. "Never in Mae she's clean even no ear wax." Ricky said. "Or it still is." Samuel said. "It's not in me your just pissed I killed you!" I yelled. "Okay. Everybody, give up your guns." Bobby said, ignoring my outburst. "What?" Kara asked. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, think about this for a second, Bobby." Pa said. "I'm thinking we don't know who is and who ain't got the damn Khan worm up inside his melon." Bobby said. "It's not in me!" Dean yelled. "He didn't say it was. Point is we don't know who it is. It could be any one of us. So the best we can do...is to make it that much harder for that thing to blow our fool heads off." Ma said and we all put our guns in a sack Ma picked up. "Mae also the blade." Ma said. "Fine." I put the lighting bolt blade in. "Are you waiting for a handwritten invite, Campbell or do want my wife to forcibly take it?" Pa asked and Samuel put the gun in after Ma flashed her eyes bright blue. Bobby locked the sack in the locker. "Okay. We need some time to breathe, make a plan." Bobby said. "A plan? Based on?" Samuel said. "I'm gonna make a few phone calls, see if anybody ever heard of anything like this." Bobby said. "Hmm. Ditto. Got a few trees I can shake." Rufus said. "Same." Pa and Ma said. We were sitting there I was being glared by Samuel. "What?" I asked. "You need to learn respect." He said. "I do have respect, it's for people who deserve it, not for a verbally abusive asshole." I said. "Yeah, I had a couple girlfriends like that. You are an asshole." Evelyn said as Reece fixed her makeup. We were silent and I saw Samuel about to leave and Sammi stood up. "Relax. Bathroom break. So unless you want to hold it for me..." Samuel said. I stood up and followed him with Ricky, Sam, Dean, and Kara. We were waiting as he rounded the corner. "What?" He asked. "Nothing. I'm just wondering how you sleep at night." Kara said. "Like a baby. Thanks for asking." Samuel said. "You fed us to Crowley." I said glaring. "True, but what am I gonna do about it now? Do I blame you for wanting to kill me? Of course not, Mae. What I did was... but I'm not apologizing. I did what I did. I don't cry over spilled blood." Samuel said. "So you really can just go on, like..." Sam trailed off. "Just because you're Dr. Jekyll at the moment doesn't mean you can get all high and mighty. Don't forget, we spent a year together." Samuel said looking at Sam. "Yeah, we did. We're blood. And you still sold me out and hurt my baby sister." Sam said glaring. "Trust me, what I did pales in comparison to what you did, and on more than one occasion." Samuel said. "All right, tell me what I did." Sam said crossing his arms. "No. Sam, come on." Dean said getting in between. "The only reason you're alive right now is because we're working a job. The minute we kill this thing... you're next." I said to Samuel. "Okay, then. We'll just see." Samuel said and I saw goo come out of his ear I used my powers and made him shoot upwards. "We heard a shot." Ma, Pa, and Bobby ran in. "Samuel!" Dean yelled. "I'm gonna be needing my gun back now, guys." Rufus said. "You think?" Ma asked. "Yeah." Rufus said and Bobby broke the lock. "Hey, don't feel bad. You know, it was a good plan, except for the part where a monster would definitely, definitely not give up all his weapons." Pa said. "Shut up." Ma said. "We lost him." Alison said them running in. "So, what's the plan?" I asked. "We stick together. We got to keep track of this thing, who it's in." Dean said. We were walking but Pa stopped me. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Hold on. Look." Pa said shining his flashlight on a trip wire. "Booby trap." I said. "He he Booby." Reece giggled, we all have her a shut up look. "I'll be damned." Ma said. I stepped over and the door closed behind me. "Hey! Hey!" Pa yelled. "Guys." I said. "Mae! Damn it. Son of a bitch." Dean said. "I'm gonna go around, okay?" I said. "All right. Watch yourself." Sam said. "Please I don't want you killing me." Ricky said. "I know." I said. "Good luck." Bobby said. I was walking and saw Samuel and I aimed my gun at him. "Don't move." I said. "Mary." Samuel said. "Put your gun down." I said. "What you gonna do, girlie? You're not gonna shoot me. I know you care about family more than anything." Samuel said, is this bitch serious? "Yeah, I wouldn't go with the family thing. Try again." I said. "Your mother is still my daughter." He said stepping closer. "I said don't move." I said my eyes flashing purple. You're brothe is still named after me." Samuel said. "I said don't move!" I yelled making my eyes stay purple. "Appears to be our moment, Mary. You still want to know about your brother's summer vacation? I'll tell you all about it. You're dying to know, huh?" Samuel said. "No not really." I said and shot him in the head, I was in shock that I just killed someone, is it bad I have not a lot of remorse. "Mae." The others said running over to me and saw Samuel's dead body. "Drop the gun, Mae." Evelyn said. I set my gun down. "It's me." I reassured. "Why are your eyes purple?" Alison asked. "I was scared." I said. "Okay. That's great, Mae. Just got to cuff you, uh, till we can be sure, okay? You understand, right?" Rufus said. "It's in him." I said gesturing to the dead man. "Are you sure?" Kara asked. "Yeah. Yeah, I think, I also think this was justifiable homicide." I said. "You see anything come out of him... after he dropped?" Sammi asked. We were back to the main room and Bobby swapped Samuel's ear. "Tell me you got something." Ricky said. "Nothing." Bobby said. "What? So – so you mean he wasn't a monster when Mae ganked him?" Sam asked. "I still think it was justifiable homicide." I said. "One way to find out. Hades, you got a cranial saw in the car?" Rufus said to Pa. "Of course." Pa said. "When don't we." Ma said. "You're not going alone." Dean said. "Oh, no, he won't. He won't. We will both go grab some tools and see about getting some power in this place." Bobby said. "And I want you and you to – okay, I want you and you to watch them and them and – all right, if anything crawls out of anybody, somebody step on it." Ma said. "No problem." Reece said. "Yeah, don't worry. I'll watch Samuel. Dean will watch me." Sam said. "I'll watch Reece." Kara said. "I'll watch Sammi." Reece said. "I'll watch Evelyn." Sammi said. "I'll watch Mae." Ricky said. "And I'll watch Ricky." I said. "Alice?" Bobby said. "I'm going with you Uncle Bobby." The girl said. "Yeah, right." Rufus said. "You did the right thing, you know." Dean said. "You mean you think she did. This thing's playing three-card monte with us." Sam said. "Well, I'm just gonna assume you're all you." Sammi said. "Why do you think it's justifiable homicide?" Ricky asked. "He was a abusive manipulative asshole I had every right." I said. "Mae you okay?" Dean said. "I don't know. I mean, I barely knew him, and I try to block painful memories..." I trailed off. "There's a but coming?" Evelyn asked. "I mean, I just can't help but think... What would Mom say?" I said. "You know what I think Mom would say? She'd say just 'cause you're blood doesn't make you family. You got to earn that plus if she knew what he did, she'd kill him herself." Dean said. "Along with Dad, heck he'd make sure the sucker was dead first thing." Sam said. I smiled at that knowing my brothers can make me happy no matter what. The lights came on and the others walked in. "Well... All right. Let's play operation." Rufus said. "I was never good at operation it wasn't even medically correct." Ma said. "Same." Kara said nodding. "You kids want to take a breather?" Bobby asked. "We're good." Dean said. "We're about to crack open your grandpa's grapefruit. Take a breather." Bobby said. I left dragging Ricky and Sammi out as Kara dragged the young witch and Nephilim out. We heard crashes and I used my telekinesis and saw Samuel about to kill Bobby. I kicked him into something causing him to electrocute to death. "Bobby, you okay?" Sam said. "Hades? Persphone?" Ricky asked. "Rufus. Rufus. Rufus. Hey, you all right? Wake up." Kara said and slapped him. "Hey, hey, hey, hey. It's all right. I got you. Come on." Evelyn and Reece said helping Bobby up. "Come on." Kara said. "This can't be my afterlife 'cause all of you are here. What happened?" Rufus asked. "Yeah and basically nothing can kill us." Ma said. "Well, when we left, he was dead on the table. Sammi said. "Yeah, till he wasn't." Bobby said. "So how did he get double dead?" Pa asked. "Mae kicked him into a live wire I guess than the thing crawled out of his ear." Ricky summed up. "Does that mean I killed our grandfather three times?" I asked. "Yes, and three?" Evelyn asked. "Damn that's messed up." Reece said. "At least we know what tickles it. Electricity." Bobby said. "Yeah. Now the question is, where'd it go? You see?" Sam said. "No." We all said shrugging. "You four were down for the count." Sam said. "Yeah. Well, either it bailed or it's in either one of you." Alison said. "Or, it's in one of you." Rufus said. "No, we were awake." I said. "Did you have eyes on each other?" Rufus asked. "Yes." Kara said to the man. "100% of the time?" Rufus asked. "Define 100." Sammi said. "Like I said." Rufus said. "All right, how about, uh, check for goo, right?" Reece said. We all checked out ears. "Nothing." I said. "Just a lot of ear wax." Sammi said. "It might just be gone." Ma suggested. "No. It might have wised up and covered its trail." Evelyn said. "All right, let's settle this... 100%." Ricky said. "How?" Dean asked and Ricky got a cable and plugged it in. "You're an idiot." Reece said. "And idiot that passed high school and one year of college in electricity." Ricky said. "Okay. All right." Ricky said and we all looked at Samuel. "Okay. I'm not a doctor, but I'm gonna go ahead and call this one." Pa said. "Yeah. All right,who wants to go first?" Ricky asked. "I will." I said and took off my jacket and Ricky electrocuted my arm and it hurt but I bit my lip. Ricky shocked himself than Sam, Dean, Kara, Reece, Evelyn, Sammi, Alison, Ma, and Pa. Ricky looked at Rufus. "Uh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Uh, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Rufus said. "No passes, Rufus. Come on." Kara said. "I got a damn pacemaker." Rufus said. "Well, you better hope it's a good one." Ricky said. "Since when do you got a pacemaker?" Bobby asked. "Since Bush Jr., term one. I'm down three toes, too, F.Y.I. All right, come on. Just make it quick." Rufus said. "I think we should be more concerned about the missing toes than his pacemaker." Pa said. Ricky shocked Rufus. "God! God! Damn it! Damn it!" Rufus yelled. "You okay?" I asked. "No, I'm not okay. Give me that." Rufus said taking the wire. "Okay. All right, my turn. Well, it ain't inside me, so go right ahead." Bobby said. "All right, then just stand still, Bobby." Ma said to him. "Okay, sure." Bobby said. "I'll make this quick." Rudd said. "No problem."  Bobby said. "All right? Let's do this." Rufus said. "Okay, uh, just a second, Rufus." Bobby said. "Just a second nothing, whatever you are." Rufus said. "I'm Bobby." Bobby said. "Bobby, my ass." Rufus said and Bobby stabbed Rufus in the chest. "Bobby!" We all yelled and Rufus fell. "Rufus." Ma and Pa said and trying to stop the bleeding. "Bobby, there are all of us and one of you." I said and Sam grabs Bobby and Evelyn knocks him unconscious with her magic. "Well, hey, there, you little herpe." Dean said. "Why do you keep talking about herpes?" Kara asked. "What? I don't. Shut up. Shut up." Dean said. "Now, don't you even think about shagging ass out of here, 'cause we got every crack in this room sealed. So get comfy." Ricky said to Bobby. "I am comfy. It's nice in here. And you love this guy, don'tcha? You really want to kill me and take him with me? Haven't you lost enough pals today?" The thing said. "I don't think the one I shot is a pal." I said. "We'll do what we have to do. And we got some questions for you, so you can either play ball, or we could fry up a little shrimp on the barbie." Ricky said. "Ask. Been waiting for you to ask." The thing said. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?" Sammi asked. "It means I got nothing to hide." The thing said. "What are you?" Alison asked. "You haven't got a name for me yet. I'm new around here. Eve cooked me up herself." The thing said and Ricky held the wire to the things neck. "Who is she, this Eve bitch?" Reece asked. "The mother of all of us, and the end of all of you. By the time she's done, there'll be more creatures than humans. You'll live in pens. We'll serve up your young and call it veal." The thing said. "And what's your deal in all of this? I mean, how's jumping a few truckers gonna help?" I asked. "You think I'm here to mess with a couple of Cannery workers? We led you here." The thing said laughing. "Why?" Kara asked. "She has a message for you." The thing said. "Oh, yeah? What's that?" Ricky asked. "You're all gonna die. She's pissed. She's here. And it's gonna be nothing but pain for you from here on in." The thing said. "Well, here's my response." Ricky said shocking Bobby's neck to kill the thing. "Ricky. Ricky! How much more do you think he can take?" Alison said. "You can't kill me, not without taking him with me." The thing said. "Well... We'll just have to do what Bobby would want us to do." Dean said and we covered Bobby's mouth and ears with duct tape. "No way out now, slug-o. Bobby, hang on in there." Ricky said shocking the thing dead. "Bobby?" I asked. "Is he, uh...Hey, hey." Reece said taking the tape off and the dead worm fell out and I moved away. "Whoa. Bobby." Evelyn said to the man. "Bobby, hey." Dean said. "He's not breathing. Bobby!" Alison said. "Next time get the damn thing out before electrocution." Bobby coughed. We walked out and saw Ma and Pa looking sad at Rufus who died. "I got to say, I never figured Rufus for the religious type." Kara said. "Well, he didn't exactly keep kosher. He always used to pull the old "can't work on the sabbath" card whenever we had to bury a body. You know, I-I was just a job. I was Joe mechanic. Then my wife got possessed... went nuts on me. I stabbed her, and that didn't stop her. Next thing I knew, this guy comes busting in, soaks her with holy water, and sends that demon straight to hell so fast. I'd have gone away for killing her. But... Rufus cleaned up everything. Taught me a thing or two about... what's really out there. Pretty soon, we were riding together. Worked like that for years, kind of like you bunch of knuckleheads." Bobby said. "So, what happened?" Sam said. "It was Omaha. It was my fault. And he never let it go." Bobby said. "Well, he should have." Dean said. "You don't know what I did, Dean." Bobby said. "Doesn't matter." Kara said. "What do you mean, it doesn't matter?" Bobby asked. "I mean at the end of the day, you two are family. Life's short, and ours are shorter than most. We're gonna spend it wringing our hands? Something's gonna get us eventually, and when my guts get ripped out, just so you two know, we're good. Blanket apology for all the crap that anybody's done all the way around." Kara said to the man. "Some of us pulled a lot of crap, Kara." Dean said. "Well, clean slate." Kara said. "Okay." Sam said. "Hey Bobby quick question." I said. "Yeah Goldilocks?" He asked. "You saw the name Campbell and looked shocked, I knew they were hunters but why were you shocked?" I asked. "Kid was glad you have Winchester as your last name the Campbell legacy is no good you should know." Bobby said. I nodded and hugged him. "Why the hug?" He asked. "Your better family than Mom's side as shown." I said. "Okay Goldilocks, now run along." He said ruffling my hair.

A\N:New chapter, I hurt my foot at camp, so it hurts whenever I walk or stand, and I hurt it by trying to get off a bunk bed. I was so happy when Samuel died and I needed to have some Mae and Bobby fluff moment, also can anyone spot the Easter egg from the Lucifer tv show.
