Chapter Four: Part Two

Jake's POV:

I saw that Daisy had texted me. How did she even know my number? I unlocked my phone to see what she wrote.

Daisy: Hi! This is Jake, right?

Jake: Yeah. Hi.

Daisy: Sorry to bother you so late, but I need to ask you something.

Jake: What is it?

Daisy: So, there's this boy I like, and I want to ask him out. What should I do?

Reading that made heart pound so hard I was sure she could hear it through the phone. But I replied anyways.

Jake: Just tell him how you feel and ask him out.

Daisy: Okay, I'll text him now! Thanks!

I couldn't believe I just helped my crush ask out someone else. The pain was unbearable, and I just wanted to cry myself to sleep. But then I heard another chime come from my phone.

Daisy: Jake, I like you. Will you go out with me?

Her words shocked me. They were so unexpected. I didn't even see it coming. Of course, I replied yes. We were going to get ice cream after school the next day. Now, I could finally go to sleep. Peacefully.

Hello! I'm hoping to get Chapter Five done by tonight, but that will probably be it for a few days. I write the script for morning announcements at my school and I'll be busy with family, especially since I have a stepsister I hang out with a lot.
