THE PYRE
Lady Ingrid is a knight in plague afflicted lands. Terror runs through the streets. There is more space for the dead than the living. Her job involves slaving after rich, foolish lords; after all, she is nothing more than a sellsword with a title.
Then there are the witches. Women of different backgrounds. Unnoticed until they are strapped to the pyre, burnt to ashes, until they fall, not even having the benefit of a grave. Witches, accused for all the trouble that the lands are suffering.
But what happens when the pyre is no longer enough?
What happens when the pyre is no longer on the side of the humans?
