Now, where did we leave off? Ah yes, Wayne manor, I've been there once or twice to swipe valuables in the dead of night, but to my knowledge, no one else has managed to break in and escape unscathed. This time though, I plan to walk in front door. This is a huge risk but I'm going to try anyways.

Turning the corner, I walk along the fence line to the front gates. After picking the lock, I enter, closing the gate behind me.

"That was easier than expected." I mutter to myself as I walk up to the front door. I give the door two swift knocks and wait, a few seconds later the door is opened by a middle aged man.

"Excuse me?" He asks with a slight British accent. "Can I help you young man?"

"I'm looking for someone and heard a rumor that they hang out here, they go by the name Cat." I answer.

The man narrows his eyes and just as he's about to respond, a teenage boy sticks his head between the man and the door. "You're friends with Selina?" He asks in a friendly tone.

"More acquaintances than friends." I respond.

The boy looks up at the man and pleads. "Please let him in Alfred."

"I'm not sure that's wise, Master Bruce." The man, Alfred says.

I just stand there waiting as the boy, Bruce argues with Alfred quietly for a few seconds until finally, Alfred opens the door and says. "Welcome to Wayne manor, I don't believe I caught your name."

I step inside and he closes the door behind me.

"My name's Leo, it's nice to meet you, Alfred, was it?" I ask.

"Yes." He turns to Bruce. "Shall I prepare a snack, Master Bruce?"

"That would be appreciated." He replies with a smile.

Alfred leads us to a small living room and glares at me one last time before heading to the kitchen.

As soon as Alfred is gone, Bruce pipes up. "So, how do you know Selina?" He asks.

"We're... Co-workers." That wasn't a complete lie, she occasionally works for Cobblepot, like I do, so we're technically co-workers.

"Underworld, Cobblepot, I'm assuming?" He asks.

The look of shock on my face is apparent. "I wouldn't have expected someone like you to know about the criminal underworld, but if you must know, yes, underworld."

"What do you mean by someone like me?" He asks, confused.

"I mean, one, you're a teenager, two, you're rich, three, you seem like the type who doesn't leave home very often."

"Well, you're a teenager, so what if I'm rich, and your not wrong about that last one."

"Touché, but enough small talk, I need to find Selina, do you have any clue where she is?"

"Why exactly do you need to find her, if you don't mind?"

It's unlikely that it'd be safe to tell him the real reason why but I decide to anyways. "I..." As soon as I start speaking, Alfred walks in with a plate of cookies.

"Here you are, Master Bruce." He says, then he sets the plate down on the table and leaves the room.

I resume speaking after a few seconds. "As I was saying, I need to find her because my employer hired me to."

Bruce narrows his eyes, saying nothing.

"But don't worry, my employer just wants to talk to her, he won't harm anyone I bring in."

"Why's that?"

"Personal reasons, I saved his life back when I first moved here, in exchange, I asked to be able to work for him in the future, with a few conditions."

"I guess that settles it, if you can guarantee her safety," His expression turns dark. "but if you harm her."

"I get it, I swear no harm shall come to her whilst under my care."

"She'll be here at noon, twenty minutes, also, are you ever gonna take off those aviators?"

"I prefer to keep them on for personal reasons."

"How bout a game of chess?"

TWENTY MINUTES LATER

The window opens slowly with a creaking noise as Selina Kyle enters through said window to find Bruce and an familiar boy who's name she doesn't know playing chess.

"Selina is here, shall we put this game on hold?" Bruce asks.

"My thoughts exactly." I reply as I lean back over the back of the couch looking at Selina upside down. "How do you do, Cat?" I ask with a grin.

"You!?" She yelps. "Bruce, why is this boy here?"

"He's here for you apparently." Bruce replies nonchalantly.

"Bruce, do you not know who he is?" Selina asks with a bit of alarm in her voice.

"Um, let's see here, his name is Leo and he's working for Oswald Cobblepot?" Bruce replies questioningly.

"I don't know if that's his actual name, but he has several nicknames, one of them being Penguins Pet, he's got a perfect record with no fails, no evidence and no collateral damage, the police don't even have a file on him, that's how good he is." Selina explains as she walks over to where Bruce is and sits down next to him.

"You seem to know a lot about me, Cat, though I guess I have amassed a bit of a reputation as of late, but that nicknames is unbearably cheesy and rather insulting, I'd appreciate you never using it again." I pause for a sec to grab a cookie. "Down to business, actually, should we be discussing this in front of him?" I ask, pointing towards Bruce.

"Whatever this is about, Bruce won't tell anyone, he doesn't have any friends outside of me and Alfred, and it seems like he knows almost everything already." Selina replies.

"TMI" Bruce mumbles.

"I'm going to be blunt, you know what this is about, you stole from Penguin, I've been contracted to bring you in, he'll probably lock you up for a few days but he won't harm you." I explain.

"And I should believe you why?" She asks.

"I know I don't exactly seem very trustworthy but you and I both know that there are much worse people he can send after you on the off chance that I fail."

"True, but still..."

"How bout this, I take you to Penguin, you give back the stuff you stole and I'll see if I can have you out of there by tomorrow morning, I'll give you a hundred bucks and you hold onto it, if I don't have you out by tomorrow, you keep the hundred, if I do have you out, you return it, sound fair?"

"And if I don't agree?"

"Simple, I tranquilize you and carry you there."

Selina looks over at Bruce who just shrugs and says. "I trust him, but it's your choice."

"Fine." She says. "Gimme the cash and let's go."

I pull five twenties out of my jacket pocket and hand it to her then pull out a flip phone and dial a number. "This'll just take a sec." I say to Bruce and Selina. The phone picks up a few seconds later. "I've got the target but I want a forty percent increase... What, only ten percent, at least gimme thirty... Fine, twenty it is, oh, and open the back door for me." I hang up grinning. "Time to go." I get up and walk to the window, Selina follows. "See ya Bruce, I look forward to finishing our game." Then I hop out the window and run towards the fence line, run up the wall then hop back down on the other side, heading for the Iceberg Lounge with Selina in tow.
