It was already a hot day as I compiled a list of supplies we needed before we make our way to Water 7. I checked the list twice before I looked at my log pose to see if we were still sailing in the right direction. The name of the island was lost in the depths of my mind, but it didn't matter. Any island would do just fine since we needed supplies and water."Okay, we're still on track. My guess is that we're a couple of hours or so from the next island," My next job was to check all of the plants living outside of my ship. From the trees to the flowers- all of my plants were limp. They need some water. When we get to the island I'll make sure to water them properly. I took a mental note of the tasks before the smell of my odor hits me. My nose scrunched at the pungent smell. It was then that I decided to freshen up. I wasn't too fond of the state of my clothes either so it was time to change out of them too. Squeak! I felt a tug on my pant leg as another squeak entered my ears. My eyes gazed down to see Yugo with his hands up to me.
"I'll pick you up when I'm done getting ready Yugo. I'm still in my old clothes from yesterday," His little eyes pleaded as he begged for me to pick him up. I rolled my eyes at his sappy act. It would've been better to ignore his pleas. Except my arms already moved on their own. I scooped up the red panda and tsked. He had me wrapped around his finger and he knew it too.
"I should stop spoiling you so much," I muttered as I headed down the lower levels of the ship. It didn't take long until we entered my room. I went straight for my wardrobe. My spoiled red panda in one arm, while the other opened the doors to search for some clothes. I shuffled through the clothes to pick out a few pieces for the day. After picking out my outfit, I settled Yugo down on the bed. After I was sure he was comfortable my legs carried me to the bathroom that connected to my room. The smell of sweat and dirt started to get to me so it was best to take a shower. A much-needed shower that is. Afterward scrubbing the grime of the last island I changed into my fresh clothes and walked out to show Yugo.
"Okay, I think this will work for today. What do you think Yugo?" He turned to me and nodded a 'yes.' He would always agree but having support was reassuring. My next destination was the mirror next to my bed. My eyes analyzed my reflection in the full-length mirror to get a better look. The reflect wore an off-the-shoulder white crop top, some high-waisted jeans, and my brown leather belt bag that stored my seeds and money. When I finally approved my outfit I looked for my brown leather ankle boots to go with my bag. I was sadly 5'5 so I tried to wear high-heeled shoes to make me more intimidating to people. But that's a secret that I'll keep till I die.
"I'm just gonna put my hair in a ponytail, It's too hot to leave my hair down," I grabbed a hair tie and tied my black hair up in a ponytail. I was almost finished getting ready until something on my nightstand caught my eye. My locket. I practically leaped to the necklace on the nightstand. Before my arrest, I had taken it off so the marines wouldn't take it or soil it with their grimy hands. I can't believe I forgot about it till now!
"I'm sorry mom, dad, and Joey! I didn't mean to forget you like that!" I picked up the golden locket and put it around my neck. The most important people in my life are in this locket and I almost forgot it! Mags, you're such a ditz! After I beat myself up about my locket. It was time to leave my room with Yugo following behind. A flight of stairs later, we were on the main deck. I wanted to check the banana trees for spiders before a small speck was on the horizon.
"Well shoot, guess we're almost there Yugo," Out on the edge of the horizon the speck was growing by the minute. Our next destination, glad I changed then. It took another hour to reach the docks and have the roots on my ship grab onto the docks. It didn't take long to realize that this was a 'pirate-friendly' island. Pirate flags on all of the ships and brutish men with tattoos were a clear sign of that. Yep, pirate friendly. That's for sure. I was just about to head into town until I remembered something. My body swiveled to my fuzzy companion. He always had sticky fingers but this time he can't go around causing trouble for me.
