The Great Hall seemed especially cramped with the addition of about 150 British soldiers, even if they kept to themselves in one corner. They seemed almost shy without the guiding hand of Captain Latimer, or perhaps they were frightened by the winged creatures that happily feasted upon fish and lamb. Wileret did not care either way he found. He despised them for taking his mother.
