A/N: so guys, I made a valentines special, enjoy! This is set as if mr Humphrey never came

Y/N's POV:
As I walked back home after school, my mind wandered to Player, and as tomorrow was Valentines, whether I should ask him. As friends. Obviously.. I rounded the corner towards the bus station and since I was early I pulled out my headphones and my phone and put on some music. I felt someone sit beside and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a red hoodie. I sneak a peak at the person beside me and see a young lady, around 21, her hair in a bun, holding a phone and on a call. Having my headphones in, I couldn't hear what she was saying but it seemed interesting as she was smiling and her eyes had a magical shine in them. 'Wow' I thought 'she must be happy..'

TIME SKIP, THE NEXT DAY, VALENTINES
As I skipped down the hall, my hair loose this time, I contemplated whether I should actually ask Player 'out' for Valentines. I rounded a corner and almost bumped into him, causing us both to drop our books. "Sorry! I was thinking.."
"It's ok, I was actually looking for you, Y/N"
Oh, really? Why?" I asked,
"I was wondering, will you be my-"
"Valentine" we say in unison.
I watched as he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, and my face reddened. "I would love to, Player" I say, finally able to trust my mouth with words again, "uh ok.. see you tonight then C/N" he replied, blushing again. I noticed how he used my code name whenever he was embarrassed, it was kinda cute.

Player's POV:
He walked off, away from Y/N. His brain sending mixed messages about how he felt about this girl. For one, her skills were amazing, and she would be a great white hacker, and two.. she was just beautiful, the way her hair swung, her eyes glittered and her mouth was always in a smile. Just the thought of her made him blush. Could he really be falling for her? They had just met! Plus, there was no way she would like him back, was there? Player quickly glanced over his shoulder to find Y/N pressed against her locker by some other guy. Millions of emotions surged through Player, rage, jealousy and mainly the feeling of needing to protect his friend. He matched over, dropping his bag on the way. Player wasn't necessarily strong, but his words cut sharper than a blade. "Hey." He smirked at the guy, "don't hurt my friend."
"And what are you gonna do bout it, geek?" This guy had done it now, Player dig deep into himself for the sharpest words and threw them at the boy, he took a step back. "Now, dont touch her ever again." Player said, almost yelling in anger. The boy turned and fled. "Thanks.." Y/N stammered out, her hair falling over her eyes, "No problem Y/N" he said, "I'm just happy you're ok"
"You didn't need to do that.."
"Yes. Yes I did."
