We picked up Noah before driving to the beach,
we all got down from the car when we arrived  and walked further inside putting a distance between the shore and the place we'll be sitting at
in case waves be high today

Harry and Noah placed the beach towel on the sand, Nora and Olly stripped from their clothes

"we'll be heading in!" Olly said holding his girlfriends hand

"We could use a bit of help here" dad said

"Addison can help" Nora said before pulling her boyfriend and they walked to the direction of the water

"Addison?" Me and Noah said confused,

I was confused, why the hell would she start calling me Addison
she knew I didn't like to me called that a lot

"Everything okay?" Dad asked

"Yeah yeah it's nothing" I sucked in a breath and gave a fake smile "do you need any help?"

"Yeah you could take the sunscreens out" dad said

"Wait Nora and Olly didn't put sunscreen" I said

"You shouldn't care, they forgot, their mistake" Noah said

"What is happening here? Are you both against each other?" Harry asked

"it's not your concern" I said as I grabbed my earphones and tucked them into my ears before grabbing my book

I started reading and ignored my surrounding, so they left me alone and went into the water

I heard their laughters and it kinda made me feel somewhat jealous
my life is messed up and they're all here acting like old times, laughing and smiling as if nothing changed
can't they see how much I changed?

"aren't you going in?" Noah asked pulling an earphone

"No"

"going to say it's too cold? Don't think so, its hot now" Noah said

"You've been avoiding going in the past year saying it's too cold for you to go in" dad said

"I.. I- just don't wanna go in"

"Can I know the reason?" Dad asked

"It's nothing"

"Addy"

"What? I don't want to go in!" I said raising my voice a bit

"I'm going because I know how bad this will end up" dad said leaving with a sigh

"I'm not gonna say anything" Noah said, as I placed my earphone back

I was lost reading a story about friends turning to lovers

love? love is not real

soulmates aren't real too

"Is that how you're going to start taking to your dad" I heard his voice but I ignored him and continued reading

"I know you're hearing me" he said "you're not listening to any song"

I looked up at him with a hard face "what"

"That wasn't you minutes ago" he said

"and why do you care?"

"because I know you wouldn't say such a thing to your dad" he said

"Harry leave me alone"

"I don't want to be here too but You're going to have to apologize to him, you'll be regretting it"
