"It's midnight." I said "Maybe sick." Hanna suggested "Might of skipped town." Jai said making Luke give him a warning look "Okay, he's disappeared before." Hanna said
"What about that time he took the train down south and didn't tell anyone?" Hanna asked "He told me." I said "He always tells me." I said "And me." Luke added
"When's the last time you guys saw him?" Luke asked "Last night." I said "Saturday." Gabby said "Did he say anything?" Luke asked "Not really just that he loved me and we made out for-" I start but Luke cuts me off "We don't need details." Luke said giving me a disgusted look
"I saw him after school, he came over to borrow my ring light." Hanna said "Your ring light?" Luke asked confused "Did he say why?" I asked
"No, just that he was working on something." Hanna said "He was probably working on something special for his story tonight." Gabby said "Oh no! He's making a horror movie and it's going to be really bad and he's going to make us watch it." Jai said "Then he would be here to show us." I snapped
"Calm down." Hanna warned "Okay, something about This feels really weird." Luke said "He's the leader of the midnight society." Luke added "He wouldn't just bail on like this especially not on liv." Luke said looking worriedly at his sister who was fidgeting with her fingers
*flashback* "What is it with you jumping in windows ?" I asked and he shrugged "My parents are still up and so is Luke." I said "Who cares?" He asked "Grab a flashlight." Conner said "Conner." I warn as he throws me his jacket "Right now?" I ask "Yeah, like right now." Conner said "Can't you get Luke?" I asked "But it's more fun with you." Conner said "I can't. I have to study." I said "Since when do you study?" Conner asked in disbelief "Since I started failing everything because I've been hanging out with you." I said "It's not my fault because I'm so attractive." Conner said pulling me and into a kiss and holding my waist "Conner." I warn "We can't." I say moving away with him "Since when?" Conner asked in disbelief "I have to study." I say "Come on. we half to go." Conner said grabbing my hand "Where are we going?" I ask "It's a surprise." Conner said "I don't think I can." I say "Come on. You love my surprises." Conner said pulling me closer to him "Maybe some other night." I say and he scoffs "Fine. I'll do it myself." Conner said "Better off on my own without you or your brother." Conner said about to go back out the window but stops when he sees my sad expression since I always hate when we fight "I'm sorry. I love you." Conner said kissing me shortly before pulling away Conner goes back out the window with one last look at me *end of flashback*
"Has he posted anything?" Luke asked and gabby pulls out her phone and shows us a picture. "Just a few photos." Gabby said "Wait what's that?" Gabby asked
"I don't see anything." I said "What's what?" Luke asked "There's something behind him." Gabby said "Scroll in." I said and she does "It looks like a shadow." Gabby said
"No way." Gabby said "It's the same shadow." Gabby said "And it's following him." I said "What if he was running away from something?" I asked "I half to find out what happened to him." I said "We'll start looking if he's not at school tomorrow." Gabby said trying to reassure her friend
