"It's you." She told Riley as she ran into him outside the bar. "No matter how hard I try, I can't shake this feeling I get when I'm with you..."
Pulling her into him, Riley did not hesitate to kiss her. Digging her nails into his shoulders, she could not feel anything but love for the man who she once had given her heart to and who know had it for sure. As they looked into one another's eyes, they realized they were destined.
"You chose me?"
She nodded.
"I don't know why it took me so long to realize it. I do want a normal life. Maybe even the white picket fence eventually. For now, I just want to be with you..."
Taking her hand into his, he was unable to stop smiling. They walked past a dress shop and saw a wedding dress in the window.
"This reminds me of the time I was told you were marrying Spike..."
She giggled. "That's right! Wow, so much has happened since then..."
"How many apocalypses?"
She gave him a sarcastic smile before he pulled her toward the alleyway and kissed her. Placing his hands upon her waist, he connected his lips to hers and placed one hand upon her cheek. Buffy pushed him against the opposite side wall and took a stake from her side.
"I'm not a vampire-" He said quick holding his hands up around his ears.
"No, but he is." She said with a smile. Turning back, she watched as he was shaking his head with a grin. "I'll see you tonight! Come by around ten!"
Doing as she requested, he made his way to her house and knocked on the door to find Xander and Dawn together on the couch. Very friendly, they separated when they saw him.
"I have school work." Dawn said as she ran upstairs.
"And I don't." Xander said as he ran out the front door.
Placing himself upon the couch and removing his jacket and placing it on the arm, he laid back and placed his hands behind his head to hear the door open. Finding it to be Buffy, he sat up and she welcomed him with a short but sweet kiss.
They made their way to the couch where Buffy laid upon Riley's chest as they watched the news of the night. The news reporter was talking about a great massacre which peaked both Riley and Buffy's interest.
"Tomorrow." He said-arching his eyebrow.
"Ugh...tomorrow..." She said rolling her eyes.
Pulling her up to him, he gave her a sweet kiss which turned into one of passion. She realized in that moment, she made the right choice.
