chapter 5: a meal and a deal

Y/N POV

I wake up on a hospital bed in a pure white room with numerous machines connected to me, to my right is a desk with my CCG uniform, to my left is some meat 

'who ever kidnapped me at least has some manners' 

I unplug  the machines from me, put on my uniform and eat the meat, which is human and walk out the room to see a corridor with about 14 Aogiri members 

Y/N: well can we talk this out 

the ghouls release their kagune and get into fighting stances.

Y/N: guess not, fourteen ghouls threat level 2, let's play

I release my rinkaku and bikaku

Eto POV

Sitting in the security room I get to watch Y/N tear through the ghouls, good thing they were traitors

Kaneki: why are you just leaving him to kill them

Eto: I am trying to tire him out and then try to convince him to join us

Kaneki: why didn't you just ask him when he woke up

Eto: well he wants me dead and if he woke up to see me, he would try and kill me straight away

Kaneki: and you think he won't now

Eto: I hope not, if so then we will lose a potentially valuable asset

looking back at the monitors I see Y/N eating a dead ghoul in an almost feral way, tearing the flesh into strips and devouring it, he then stands up and gets a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe his face of all the blood. 

Y/N looks around and sees the camera I am looking through and does a Cheshire grin with blood still dribbling from his mouth, he walks away into the next room that has a S rated ghoul, he looks at the ghoul while muttering something and released his rinkaku.

I turn to kaneki

Eto: I need you to go ahead without your mask to get him to calm down, if required fight him but be careful, I will join in a few minutes

Kaneki: alright

I turn off the cameras for my conversation with Y/N.

Y/N POV

after separating the ghouls head from his body I walk on and come across a big metal door about three metres wide and five metres tall with a pin lock

'ok what could it be'

I type in random numbers and the answer is the date of the owl rampage (cant find the date sorry). the door opens and I see Eyepatch himself  

Y/N: hey Kaneki wassup my friend, you working with Aogiri now?

Kaneki: yeah

Y/N: okay then, wanna fight or you gonna let me past

Kaneki: I just need you to relax and hear what our leader wants

Y/N: ooooh who's your leader,

I hear a giggle like before I went unconscious in the 11th ward

Y/N: so it was you who kidnapped me

Eto: that's me

Y/N: what do you want elf rip off

Eto: I want you to join Aogiri

Y/N: No, now let me leave before I start getting angry

I began to walk past her

Eto: at least be an insider in the CCG

Y/N don't make me repeat myself Eto

Eto: what if I told you my identity then you wouldn't need to focus on your investigation

this interested me, all the sleepless nights and constantly trying to get evidence that Takatsuki is Eto will all be done

Y/N: reveal your identity then I will decide

Eto: kaneki please leave the room

Kaneki: fine

Kaneki walks out the room and Eto sits down and I do the same. She takes off the bandages covering her face and as i had predicted it was Takatsuki

Takatsuki: well you were right I am Eto

Y/N: we both know Sen Takatsuki is a fake name

Takatsuki: you're right my name is Eto Yoshimura, so will you join us

'Yoshimura, that makes things interesting'

Y/N: I'll be an insider but that's it no more, no less, understand?

Eto: I look forward to working with you

Y/N: the feeling is partially mutual Yoshimura

Eto: just call me Eto it's easier unless we are in public

She puts her bandages on and I stand up.

Y/N: know this, I am only helping you because it will benefit me, not some other equality bullshit, morality or romance, simple quid pro quo, if I need help I expect you to deliver,

I walk out of the room and see kaneki standing in front of me

Y/N: I expect big things from you eye patch

I continue walking and exit the building.

I find myself in a construction yard, it is night and it is cold.

I walk on trying to find a phone box

Timeskip

I arrive at a phone box and call the CCG headquarters asking for someone to come get me

Waiting, I see a car driving toward me and through the window I see Shinohara and Suzuya inside, they drive in front of me and Shinohara rolls down his window

Shinohara: you need a ride

Y/N: please, also fill me in on what's happened while I've been gone

I get in the back seat as Shinohara tells me what's happened

Shinohara: over the past few weeks we've lost over 500 investigators, and a large portion of survivors thought you had joined Aogiri and wanted to have you declared kill on sight

Y/N: people always want my head, anything else

Shinohara: yeah, we're going to be having a meeting soon and the chief wants you to be there and to transfer back to the 20th ward afterwards

Y/N: good to know, how long until we will get to headquarters

Shinohara: it will take about an hour so get a bit of rest
