Jax and Emma waited at the theater for a long while. None of their friends showed up.
"Where are they?" Jax wondered.
"I'm not sure." Emma looked around.
"Damn it," he said in realization.
"What? What happened?"
"They ditched us."
"What makes you think so?" She asked.
"I don't know. I can just feel it." Jax stood up.
"Do you want to try to call them?" She asked, standing up.
Jax pulled out his flip phone and stared at it for a second. Then he placed it back into his pocket. "It's okay."
Emma nodded.
"Since we're out, do you want to go to the park or out to dinner or something?" He wondered, giving her a half smile.
"Sure." She smiled.
