"You were right, Flash

"You were right, Flash." She admitted as the two started walking. "I was?" He questioned, very shocked to hear that. "Yeah, you were. I'm behind on my hours, and my credits so major set back from where I thought I was." The girl confessed looking over at her friend. "Jeez, that sucks. Hey, you wanna go out for lunch after school?" Flash questioned quickly as if she didn't just tell him anything.

"Flash, did you really not just hear a word I said? I'm behind, which means I have to study for three more classes, all that plus volunteering and practice..." Joe informed once again. "Sooo...is that like a yes or a no?" The boy questioned quietly. "It's a no, Flash." She told him politely. Right now she was thinking about how in the world she was going to study, she hated those three subjects with a passion, they confused her.

"Hey, do you know anyone who can like...tutor me?" She questioned making sure to whisper the 'tutor' part. She was a bit embarrassed to ask such a question, it made her feel dumb. "Uhh you're looking for someone like me, so I would suggest me.  But on the other hand I don't think I can stand spending more time with you than I already do so I suggest Ned." Flash informed with a confidant nod.

That really didn't sound like a bad idea. She talked to Ned here and there, occasionally texted. The reason she knew him was because of decathlon from freshman year before she quit. He was really nice, and a bit of an airhead at times.

"Great, thanks Flash." Joe said before beginning to walk away. "Hey! Where are you going?" The boy questioned, slightly throwing his arms in the air. "I'm gonna go find Ned, I think he might actually save my life." She answered before continuing to make her way to his locker. It was easy to find, she would always see him hanging out there in the mornings.

She was lucky to have caught him, he was just here to get some books. Having Joe Najera wanting to talk to him wasn't something that happened everyday, so he was a bit surprised to see her walking towards him, a smile on her face and everything. "H-hey, what's up Joe?" The boy questioned with slight confusion. "Hey Ned, uhh...this is gonna sound really stupid. I know we barely talk but I need some help..." the girl began, starting to lower her voice a little. "Sure, what's the problem."

"I need a tutor...like a legit one. It's a long story,  but I was wondering if you could maybe tutor me with geometry, physics and maybe chemistry. Ugh I know it's a lot..." Joe rambled as she let out a sigh. Ned too let out a sigh after her. "Those aren't really my strong suits, I'm more of a technology person my self. Look, as your friend I would want you to get the best experience, so I don't think I'm cut out with that stuff. I'm really sorry." Ned apologized with a frown, if it were something else he would be happy to teach her, sadly it was something he wasn't so good at himself.

"You should ask MJ." Ned suggested while closing up his locker. While she was disappointed that he couldn't help out, she was grateful that he had suggested something else. "...she's in the cafeteria, or at least she should be." He added before she could even ask. "Thanks, Ned." Joe said with a smile before leaving him to go find the next candidate. Ned was honestly flattered that she asked for him help "that was awesome..." he said to himself, he definitely had to tell Peter that Joe Najer, friends with Flash, captain of the swim team had asked for his help.

There she was, sitting with Peter at the lunch table talking about God knows what. Joe really didn't want to ruin the moment but she needed all the help she could get right now. "MJ, can I talk to you really quick?" Joe questioned, getting straight to the point as soon as she arrived to the table. "Uh...sure..." Michelle said with a bit of confusion, looking over at Peter for a small moment, she got up from her seat so the two could actually talk alone.

"So uh, this is kinda funny...you're in decathlon and you're like really smart—" Joe began but the very clever girl saw right through her. "You need a tutor?" She questioned with a blank expression on her face. "Yeah..." if MJ were in a different situation, she would love to help her out, but over the past months she had gotten way busier. She didn't even have time to spend with Peter. She thought that Joe was nice, and they had pretty weird conversations about anything but she didn't think she would have time.

Judging by the look on her face, Joe could tell that it was going to be another no. "You can't do it can you?" Fixing her curly hair, she shook her head and looked down at the floor for a moment. "I would like to, but I have a lot on my plate at the moment. I'm sorry, Joe." Michelle apologize with a genuinely guilty look on her face. "It's okay, I understand." She knew what it was like to be busy to the point where you couldn't really make time for other things. "I can tell Peter though, maybe he could help."

At this point she was all out of options, she only considered MJ and Ned because she actually knew them and she knew they were really smart.

"Flash." Joe called out as the two walked to class together, side by side. "Am I dumb?" She questioned with seriousness, she didn't want him to joke around, she wanted to tell the truth. "Yeah." He responded with a sigh, watching her uncomfortably shift a bit, holding onto her binder that was held tightly. Feeling a bit bad about the answer, Flash rolled his eyes. "I mean you're kinda like the blonde bimbo, except you're not blonde and you're not white."

"...so I'm just a bimbo?" She questioned in confusion, one eyebrow being raised up to amplify her expression. "Yes, exactly. Look, you're smart alright? I've met dumb people. Everyone has their own things that their good at knowledge wise, it's just how things are. I'm just good at everything though." He told her, the two walking into the classroom, kids sitting down at their seats.

"Wow Flash, thanks." Joe said with a smile, that was probably the nicest way he's ever reassured her about something. "Yeah no problem, just don't tell anyone I told you this. If anyone asked, I just called you a blonde bimbo." The boy warned, giving her a pat on the back before going up further to sit next to Ned whereas Joe stayed back and took a seat.

Peter wasn't here yet, but it would only be a matter of time. Once he came to sit down, the two didn't say anything, just keeping to themselves. It wasn't awkward, they were just minding their own business. "Hey." Joe finally said breaking the silence, looking over at him, giving Peter a smile. "Hey." The boy replied back with a sigh.

"Peter you're smart right?" She asked completely out of the blue, shifting in her way so she could face him. Peter thought he was smart, but he was always humble about it. "Um...sure?" He answered, it sounded more like he was asking a question. "I need a favor because I'm kinda dumb...like not that dumb but—you get the point."

"Anyways..." she sang with a small smile that Peter read as suggestive, maybe the answers for the homework or something. This always happened so it wasn't anything new. "...I was wondering if you can be my tutor I'm behind like really behind on my classes from last year. I just need your help. I asked everyone, even MJ but they're all busy, and I know you're busy too—"

Instantly he felt bad, letting out a sight and looking over at her, he spoke "I wouldn't mind but I have a whole lot of stuff..." surly he couldn't juggle this and his hero duties. But he liked that she actually wanted to learn instead of getting the answers, it was easier that way but still. "...I'll pay you, like with money." She whispered to him with hopefulness, making sure to keep her voice down since class had started. "You would be a life saver Peter Parker."
