He kept staring at the sea . He had been doing this for a while now.

He always liked watching the waves as they landed on the coast making a sound that could take away all his worries in an instant.
Something about the blue of the sea really calmed him and that was the reason why whenever he was depressed and stressed he would always go to the beach. But he would also go there when he was happy. He could say that the sea was his best friend. It was always there when he needed it.

He didn't go there to swim. Truth be told he rarely swam .He would just sit down and appreciate the scenery. That was his hobby.
People didn't get his obsession with the sea. They thought that it was weird for a eighteen year old boy to love the sight of the sea so much.Boys at his age were supposed to go out and have fun with their friends. He should be going clubbing and flirting with girls or at least that's what he was told. That's what his friends and his classmates did , but he didn't .

Sometimes he felt like an outsider because his interests didn't match the others' but he couldn't help it, that was who he was and he couldn't do anything about it. He had tried to act like the others. He had really tried to fit in but he had come to the conclusion that his interests were just different and he didn't mind it anymore. He liked spending time on his own listening to his favourite songs while gazing at the stars or admiring the beauty of the sky and the sea.

That day was different though. He wasn't on his own. His friends had come with him too.It was summer so they thought that it would have been nice to accompany him for a change so that they could enjoy the sunny day.
So that was how he had ended up sitting on a rock by the sea while his bare feet were playing with the wet sand.

His friends had been playing for at least an hour with a ball they had brought. They had asked Taehyung a lot of times to join them but he denied because he wasn't really the athletic type. He didn't enjoy playing sports at all. He was really bad at sports and whenever he would try to play a sport ,every move he made would be wrong so nobody threw the ball at him and don't get him started about how easily he ended up being out of breath. So... no sports for him.

His thoughts came to an end when he felt his friends' ball hitting him on the head and then falling into the water a few meters away from him.

"Sorry Taehyung" He heard Jimin's light voice. Jimin's smile was wide and it was obvious that he was trying to suppress his laughter.

Jimin was one of his best friends. They had known each other since they were three or four years old because of their mothers being best friends and the fact that their houses were not more than ten minutes far . So they had literally grown up together. They also had gone school together which Taehyung was really thankful for because being the shy kid he was he would have spent all his school years sitting by himself . Jimin on the contrary was what we would call a social butterfly. He never struggled to make friends in comparison with Taehyung. He would always make conversation with anyone even if he didn't know them. So Taehyung could definitely say that he was the reason he had friends. He was the one who had introduced the shy boy to his friends . When Taehyung had first met them he had felt a little uncomfortable around them and had not been talking much. As the time passed they got to know each other more and he realised that they weren't that bad at all even though they barely had anything in common.

"It's okay , I'll catch it" The boy said to his friend while standing up. He stepped his feet on the water cursing under his breath due to the cold temperature of the water despite the warmth of the warmth of the summer. He took a deep breath trying to ignore the coldness of the sea making a bigger step towards the ball which seemed to be going farther and farther as the seconds passed because of the strong wind.
The water was really cold and his steps seemed to be really slow for him to manage catch the ball before it would too late. Seeing that the ball was going much faster than him he lost hope. There was no chance he could catch it so he gave up turning around ready to return to his friends. But before he could reach the coast he heard a voice coming from behind.
