Pearl POV

Once they got outside, Eret started talking in a low tone.

"We need to go to L'Manburg."

Pearl whipped around to face her. "What?!"

"There are some things happening that I need to deal with, and as the main correspondence between L'Manburg and DreamSMP, we need to head over right away." She started pulling on Pearl's hand down the path and she willingly followed, eager to visit the country.

"Are you allowed to tell me what's going on or am I just going to sit outside the meeting room again."

"I'm sorry Pearl, but things are getting a bit serious right now."

Pearl huffed out in exasperation. "Do you not trust me to keep things secret? I've never told any of my friends about us visiting L'Manburg, or anything that ever happens in the meetings."

"Of course I trust you. Pearl, I probably trust you more than anyone. But, there are things you aren't ready for yet, and you shouldn't have to deal with."

"Okay, fine. But you shouldn't have to deal with whatever this is alone. The whole point of training me is so that you have someone to help you."

Eret smiled warmly at her daughter. "Thank you, and I promise I'll tell you everything if things start to get serious."

Pearl agreed and the two made their way down the path all the way to the main gates. There must have been a notice put out, because there weren't any guards nearby, except for Sapnap, who opened the gates and locked them inside. Pearl was relieved, thankful that she didn't have to encounter Lily who should've been on tower duty.

Pearl looked out over L'Manburg. It was a small country, confined by the walls, but they used every inch of it. There were houses crammed together covering the hill, along the back wall, and the bottom valley held the white house. There weren't many stores, Pearl knew there wasn't much of an economy in L'Manburg, and a similar wooden path connected all the buildings. A lake ran through the country, with various crops planted beside it. Pearl knew that it connected to the ocean through a sewer system, but it was a well-guarded area.

The pair started making their way along the river, towards the familiar white building. There were two guys sitting outside the building, discussing something animatedly in low voices. The one with blond hair saw Eret and her daughter approaching, raised his eyebrows and nudged his friend. The brunette looked up and took the same alarmed expression. Pearl couldn't blame them, it wasn't everyday the King of the SMP came to talk.

"Hello Eret." The brunette said, standing up to meet the king. The blond followed suit.

"Tommy, Tubbo. How are you both doing?" Eret replied.

Tubbo laughed drily. "Could be better, I'll be honest."

"About that, should we talk inside?" He nodded towards the Whitehouse.

"Yeah, of course. Will Pearl be joining us?" Tubbo smiled at the girl and she returned it.

"No, but I think I'll go try to find Will and Mel, have you seen them?"

"I think they're helping harvest the lakeside farms." Tommy replied.

"Thanks, I'll see you in a bit then." She directed that last part at Eret and he agreed before following Tommy and Tubbo into the building.

Pearl started off towards the farms, acutely aware of how out of place she looked. She was wearing tight black jeans and a red top with billowing sleeves. She topped the look off with a small golden tiara on top of her brown hair. This was a little overkill in the SMP, although Eret had taught her to always dress up when going to political meetings, but in L'Manburg it was obnoxiously over the top. These people normally wore tunics and cargo pants, nothing of too much value or wealth.
