Damage to the heart

Damage to the heart,

You call me fat.

And say I have wings on my arms.

You laugh at me with them,

Your friends that can’t hold a two week job.

I work full time,

While trying to help others less fortunate,

But you call me lazy.

You call me fat.

When will this torture end?

You get the boys to laugh.

I laugh along but not without a tear falling down my eye.

Because you call me a nerd,

You call me lazy.

You call me fat.

And I don’t see the light at the tunnels end.

You say I’m a duckling

That has grey feathers

Because you call me ugly

You call me a nerd.

You call me lazy.

You call me fat.

Making me want to cry.

I try and not look down.

Even if I break inside.

Because I will not give the satisfaction,

To see me breaking.

Under your hand

Of betrayal and deception,

But when will this torture end?

When will it all end?

And when can I move on,

From the depression and anger and hate,

That surrounds you like a cloud.
