A couple of days later I was sitting in a compartment with Draco, Melina, and Stella. I had explained why I didn't write back to Melina and what happened with Jaxzon. Then Draco explained to her what happened with him and Pansy about three times. He said she was over for dinner once and annoyed his father so much he told her to get out and demanded Draco end the relationship right there and then. Melinda just wanted to hear it over and over again.

I had to convince her that Draco and I were only friends if you wanted to call it that. She wasn't conceived though when she found out that he gave me the won't and pin. I was sitting by the window looking out at the darkening sky. We were almost to Hogwarts to start our fourth year.

"Is she all right?" I heard Melina ask Draco. "Yeah, I think she's just still shaken from what happened at the World Cup," he told her.  We finally made it to Hogwarts and got off the train and walked to the castle.

While everyone was just standing around we saw a carriage being pulled by Pegasus' in the sky. And then a ship came up out of the black lake. We were all ushered inside to change into our robes and head to the great hall.

I say beside Draco with Melina beside me. She was looking over at the Hufflepuff table at Stella. Dumbledore stood up at the podium and started talking. "Well, now that we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement," he said as the door squeaked open.

"This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well," he continued as Filch ran funny down the aisle. "You see, Hogwarts has been chosen--" Dumbledore started but stopped as Filch went up to him and started whispering something to him. Then he ran back down the aisle as Dumbledore continued some kids laughing at him.

"So... Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event: The Triwizard Tournament," Dumbledore said and everyone started whispering. "Now for those of you who do not know, the Triwizard Tournament brings three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single student is selected to compete," he says. I looked over at Draco who was smiling and I shook my head.

"Now let me be clear. If chosen, you stand alone. And trust me when I say, these contests are not for the faint-hearted. But more of that later," Dumbledore says. "For no, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and the Headmistress Madam Maxime,"

The doors opened and girls in blue dresses and hats came in dancing and releasing butterflies. All the boys were looking at them in awe. I hit Draco and he looked at me "what?" He shrugged. "Jealous Darling?" He smirked. I scoffed at him "no," I told him as I felt my cheeks get hot. I heard Melina chuckle beside me and I elbowed her. Then a very tall woman walked down the aisle after them. When they were done people clapped and whistled, mostly the boys.

Dumbledore went back upfront "and now our friends from the north. Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang. And their high master Igor Karkaroff," he said and my face dropped. *Please don't let Jaxzon be here* I thought to myself. The doors opened and boys walked in with canes pounding them off the floor. They spun them around and hit them off the floor again making sparks fly.

My blood ran cold when they turned facing the Gryffindor and Slytherin tables. Looking right at me was Jaxzon La Croix. My hand found Draco's arm without noticing and I grabbed ahold of him. He looked down at my hand squeezing his arm and then looked up where I was looking. My whole body was stiff. I felt him pull his arm out of my grip and rest it around my shoulders pulling me closer. The boys then ran upfront and flipping as they did. Then Victor Krum and Igor Karkaroff walked. He greeted Dumbledore with a hug and then Dumbledore encouraged them to not down.

Unfortunately, Durmstrang sat with the Slytherins.  Krum sat on the other side of Draco which made him happy and surprised. But when I looked up I saw Jaxzon sitting across from us. Draco was looking at Krum holding up his cup as Krum clinked his against Dracos. I grabbed Draco again and moved impossibly close to him. He looked over at me "what's wrong with you? Move over, it's called personal space," he said. "Draco!" Melina hissed at him and nodded her head a little to the seats across from us.

Draco looked confused but looked over. His face scrunched up in a scroll and he admittedly wrapped his arm around me again. "Y/N," Jaxzon said as he glared at Draco. I didn't say anything to him, I just looked down. "La Croix!" I heard and looked down the table a few seats to see Lucas glaring at him. "Leave my sister alone!" He growled and Jaxzon just put his hands up while smirking.

As we ate dessert Filch and a few of the other people that worked at the castle brought some kind of big contraption in and set it on the stage in front of the table the professors sat at. Dumbledore got up and walked over to it. "Your attention, please!" He said loudly and everyone stopped talking.

"I'd like to say a few words. Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard Tournament. But to do this, that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks," Dumbledore says. "For this reason, the Ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this, we have the head of the Department of International Magical Corporations, Mr. Bartemius Crouch," he continues as a man walks behind the table of professors.

There was thunder and bright white lightning above us caused students to scream. Again grabbed on to Draco without thinking as he again wrapped his arm around me. Then a red spark came from the corner of the great hall near a door off to the side. The room cleared up and everyone looked upfront.

"Is that... Mad-Eye Moody?" I asked and Draco hummed.

He walked down to stand beside Dumbledore and shook his hand. He went off to the side and took a drink out of a flask. Mr. Bartemius Crouch then stood in front of us. "After due consideration, the Ministry has concluded that, for their own safety, no student under the age of 17 shall be allowed to put forth their name for the Triwizard Tournament," he said and a bunch of students started complaining. "This decision is final!" He said as the students complained more and the Weasley twins yelled that it was rubbish.

"Silence!" Dumbledore yelled and everyone shut up. He pointed his wand at the contraption and it faded away to reveal a large cup that had blue flames coming out of it. "The Goblet Of Fire! Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament needs only write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before the hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly. If chosen, there's no turning back. As from this moment, the Triwizard Tournament has begun," he says.

After that, we were all excused to go back to our common rooms as Beauxbatons and Durmstrang went back to the carriage and Ship. Draco, Lucas, and Melina along with Stella walked beside me just to make sure Jaxzon wouldn't come near me.
