'The scene of a crime'

         The sight was horrifying. It wasn't the fact that Mrs Pattinson was cut into pieces, but the fact that the pieces had been arranged into an amalgamation of some sort. It seemed like the killer had been trying to create something that only appears in nightmares, or in the minds of the delusional. Her head, which was missing the eyes, was cut and contorted in a way that made the facial features near recognizable. The arms and legs had been cut off and sewn back in different places. Even the eyes had later been found to be lodged inside the esophagus, seemingly for no purpose at all but to satisfy the crazed fantasies of whoever did this. It felt strange, but I wasn't surprised she had been found this way. Many other killings like this had turned up in the past months with no clues to be found. I only hoped to end these misfortunes before I became one of the monstrous creations.
