Unexpected Guest

Time Skip (1 year later)

Third Person POV:

Aquarius sat on her bed staring down at the pile of paperwork Nix had left in her office that morning. She let out a sigh before trying to tackle the mount of paperwork. Suddenly her door burst open and a certain blonde haired blur dashed into the room closing the door behind him. She peered up from the paper in hand and looked up at Dexter with one eyebrow raised. "What did you do this time?" She asked annoyance clear in her tone. "Um.... Well-" "DEXTER ANDERSON" The sound of his twin's voice echoed throughout the hallways bouncing off of the walls. "Hide me...?" He asked hesitantly. She rolled her eyes but nodded nonetheless waving a hand in the air effortlessly masking his scent. He smiled at her and quickly hid in the closet. Moments later, her door burst open once more the other blonde haired twin standing in the doorway. His eyes were pitch black, his anger coming off of him in waves. He scanned the room before his eyes landed on her. His eyes narrowed but he bowed his head a little. "Alpha...... Where is he?" He said emphasizing the word Alpha. "I don't really like your tone. Fix it" Her voice oozed dominance as her eyes turned from their original color to a honey color with silver outlining them. He knelt down not being able to handle the authority she was giving off. "S-Sorry Alpha..." He mumbled with his head hung low. "Just so you know, he isn't in here" She said as she gestured for him to stand. He nodded and went to the door leaving and closing it behind him. The closet door opened up a little and Dexter poked his head out. "He's gone" I announced. He nodded and stepped out of the closet only for the door to be kicked open by Dante with a triumphant smirk. "Aha!" He said pointing at his twin. The room grew silent, Dexter looked towards the door and towards Aqua and back again. He bolted towards the balcony and jumped shifting as he did so, running off into the woods. Dante rolled his eyes and followed after him leaving Aquarius in a comfortable silence, though it didn't last long.

'Meeting in the conference room' Nix's said through mind link.

'Alright on my way'

Aquarius's POV:

I walked into the conference room and wasn't surprised to only see Nix and Elliot there. "Where are the twins?" Elliot asked. "They're somewhere in the woods, Dan's chasing Dex for Goddess know what" I said simply standing behind my seat. "Those two...." Eliott said with a sigh. "Well anyway we can tell them later but um someone named Joshua White and his mate passed through the territory." Nix said looking my way. "Where are they?" I said feeling my eyes widen. "The pack house" He said. "Wh-" Before he could finish I bolted out the door running straight to the pack house. It can't be him... Can it? I willed my feet to go faster and slowed down a little in front of the door. I opened it and went inside passing by people nodding or smiling at them as a way to acknowledge them. I stopped dead in my tracks when the scent of coconut hit me. I followed the scent eager to see the owner of it. "Joshua!" I shouted happily upon finding him sitting in the living room. His eyes lit up at my voice and he turned around with a smile. When he looked at me his smile dropped and he looked around in confusion, he smelt the air and stared directly into my eyes. "Aqua...?" He said hesitantly. I nodded my head tears pricking my eyes. He ran over to me engulfing me into a hug "It's you!" He said happily. "Who else would it be? But wait.... What are you doing here?" I asked pulling away from the hug a little. "Looking for you, duh" He said rolling his eyes at me. "He talks about you non stop" A female voice said from behind him. I looked behind him to find a very pregnant girl- who I assumed was his mate. "Hi I'm Aquarius but call me-" "Aqua, I know. I'm Crystal" She said with a smile. "Nice to meet you" I said with a smile of my own. "So do you guys plan on staying in the pack house or are you coming to stay at my house?" I asked tilting my head to the side a little. "Your house? But I thought-" He cut himself off before continuing "Yeah we'll stay with you" I nodded in acknowledgment and mindlinked a pack members to bring a car out front of the house. Me and Joshua are close, he's practically my brother so no way in hell am I letting my very very pregnant sister-in-law walk to my house. 'Alpha the car is in the driveway'  'Thank you Matthew' "Come on let's go" I said grabbing onto Crystal's hand and taking her to the car. "Would your prefer sitting in the passenger's seat or in the backseat?" I asked as we stopped in front of the black jeep. "Backseat" I nodded and opened the door letting her climb in. 'Aqua can you come back to the conference room?' Hm... That's strange, another announcement from Nix? 'Kk I'm on my way' As soon as Joshua got in I drive the short drive to my house parking into the driveway and excusing myself from the couple. "I have to do something, I'll be back later. Just make yourselves at home." I said before speed walking away. I opened the door to the conference room to find Elliot, the twins and- of course- Nix sharing worried glanced with each other. "Um... Guys? What's going on?" I asked shifting my weight to my other foot. "Well um....." Elliot started. "You know how we've been helping other packs right?" I nodded waiting impatiently for him to get to the point. "We have a new pack to help...." I raised an eyebrow at him "Yeah and? Isn't that a good thing since we're helping people?" Nix and Elliot shared a glance before Nix continued for Elliot. "The pack we have to help is the Moonlight Pack" I felt my eyes go wide and I stared at all of them shocked. "My old pack....? No-" I cut myself off and sighed "You know what ok..."
