Problems in Paradise

I feel really bad for leaving this story for so long so have another chapter today ^^

Aqua's POV

"I'm only gonna say this once so listen closely!" I said loud enough for everyone to hear. We had gathered mostly everyone except for pregnant women, people over 60 and little kids outside of the pack house. "Everyone who is 12 and over are going to be trained whether you like it or not! Training begins at 4 am and ends at 6 on weekdays, for weekends it ends at 12."

"What the hell?! You can't do that! Some people have a life you know!" Sierra shouted from beside Damon. The blonde haired girl had her arms folded and sent a glare my way. I sent her one straight back, although I was sure my eyes flashed a different color for a moment. "If you don't like it then go ahead and die because of you own stupidity." I said harshly. Sierra looked to Damon to say something to defend her in some way but he looked hesitant. "Don't talk to my mate like that." He said in his Alpha voice. I let out a laugh seeing as that would've worked on me before. "Listen here mutt, I don't care if you're the Alpha or not. It's your job to make sure your pack is prepared for a fight but you've even failed at that!" I used my Alpha tone for certain words but I could tell that he was trying to resist the urge to bow him head.

Just because him and his stupid mate have been getting on my nerves I made sure he couldn't resist anymore. "Bow your head Alpha." His quickly bowed his head, dropping to his knees from the sheer power of my voice. "Now, anyone else have any objections?" I asked as I scanned over everyone. "Nope, I think you scared everyone." Jacob said in a teasing manner with a proud look in his eyes. I almost cringed at that, he had no right to try and act like my brother now. "Then this meeting is over." I said as I began walking away with Elliot. Sometime during when I was talking, Nix had just up and left so it was just me and Elliot. "Eli, Where's Nix?" I asked as walked over to where our rooms were. "I dunno. Hold on I'll check." He stopped mid step and his eyes grew dark, I merely stopped and checked my phone while I waited for him.

He blinked. Once. Twice.

"He's by a lake..? You know if there's one around here?" He asked as he peeked over my shoulder to see what I was doing. I nudged his shoulder playfully before nodding. "Yup, there's one near here actually. I'll catch up with you later!" I said to him before I went to go find Nix.

As I approached the small clearing with the lake in the middle of it all, I spotted Nix with his back turned to me. He was mumbling something incoherently and I couldn't tell what he was saying. I stopped beside him tapped his shoulder, he blinked and shook his head, almost as if I knocked him out of a trance. "Aquarius?" He said slowly. "Yeah what's up? You ok, you looked dazed." He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them and smiling at me. "Yeah sorry love, I was thinking is all." He said as he wrapped an arm around my waist. "You disappeared all of a sudden earlier..." I mumbled as I rested my head on his chest. "I had to deal with something. Did I make you worry..?" He said as he kissed my forehead. "No it's just that you were acting kinda distant? I don't know it's stupid.." I trailed off. "I'm sorry my lo-" He stopped mid sentence and stared off into the distance. I turned to see what he was staring at but there was nothing there, when I turned back to look at him he snapped out of it and pushed me away.

I stumbled back and stood with my mouth parted, trying to push back the hurt that I felt. "What are you doing?" He asked in a monotone voice. Before I could even stop it I felt my eyes fill with tears. "No Nix what the hell are you doing?!" I shouted in frustration. "First you say that I'm your mate and act all sweet and protective and now you're pushing me away!" I screamed. He merely just looked at me and turned, leaving me alone with my feelings.

I hope you enjoy this chapterrrrr! This was really fun to write and I'm really invested in this story I just need the time to write out the chapters on here. ^^
