The turtles were out on patrol, it was a quiet night and nothing much was happening, Mikey was being hyper jumping around due to boredom, mostly, and Raph was frustrated he was in the mood to crack some skulls. They all needed to wind down a little or expend their energies.
"Hey why don't we swing by April's place, it's only around the corner" Donnie suggested hoping Leo would agree, pleading with him,
Leo gave in, they may as well stop by, but just briefly "Go on then, but just for a moment, she's probably busy studying or something" he replied,
Donnie had a beaming smile as he lead the way in the direction of her apartment, delighted.
As they landed outside her room and knocked on the window, April as it happened was just watching TV, and was happy to let them in.
Mr O'Neil was away for a few days visiting relatives so April allowed the turtles in.
"You guys wanna watch a movie? Since you're here." April offered, hopeful they'd accept.
Donnie wordlessly pleaded with Leo, but Raph wasn't so keen, they watch TV all the time, he wanted to get back on patrol, Mikey was eager to stay bouncing up and down pulling on Leo's arm as he pleaded "Pleeese" repeatedly.
After shaking Mikey off, Leo sighed,
"You and Mikey can stay and watch a movie, Raph and I will head back out on patrol but you're on call, got it, if I need you & call you I expect you to come" Leo said firmly, "That okay with you April?" Leo wanted to double check,
"Sure guys" April added, she was happy for the company, she was a little lonely without her dad, truth be told.
"Got it Leo" Donnie replied,
"Mikey...." Leo called, wishing to tell him to behave himself for April but Mikey had already found his way into the kitchen and was microwaving popcorn he found, already preparing for movie night, he wasn't wasting his time.
as they all followed him into the kitchen, they clocked him there,
"Mikey you should ask first shell for brains" Raph scolded,
Though Mikey wasn't really listening, focussing on finding a bowl for his popcorn,
"It's fine guys really, see you after your patrol" April said, "I was going to make some anyway, he saved me a job" she added.
"Hey Mikey, there's some frozen pizza's in the freezer if you want to cook em" April told him, she knows he's always hungry and she wouldn't mind some too.
"Sweeet, thanks April, I'm on it" Mikey replied as he got them out to do it without hesitation,
As Leo and Raph left the apartment, April, Donnie and Mikey settled down with their popcorn and Pizza's in front of the TV. April set aside some Pizza for them for when they returned.

As the two oldest turtles moved from roof top to roof top, they chatted amongst themselves,
"So fearless why'd you let dim and slim bail on patrol?" Raph asked Leo, finding it out of character a little,
"well mostly because April looked like she needed the company, and I left Mikey there so Donnie didn't treat it like a date or something and Mikey's a little hyper tonight so a little break.... would be nice, don't you think" Leo replied with a smile,
Raph smiled, at the last part, "You're not as dumb as you look fearless" he replied,
Leo ignored the slight from Raph as they continued on they bumped into Casey not long after also out patrolling or looking for mischief wherever he could find it.
Soon they encountered Purple Dragons' Hun, Fong and Sid they were robbing a house carrying out a TV and other valuables and the trio of Leo, Casey & Raph gave chase and soon put a stop to that, but not before Hun got a lucky shot in and busted Casey's nose, after Casey's mask got knocked off in the scuffle.

As the end credits rolled on the movie they were watching, and April and Donnie were almost nodding off, Mikey was devouring his third bowl of popcorn of the night, more interested in the food than the film as Leo and Raph re-entered with a battered Casey in tow, this snapped April wide awake and into action getting out the first aid kit to tend to him, much to Donnie's annoyance.
As everyone was distracted Mikey decided to sneak upstairs and have a nose around. He saw a ladder going up into a attic and decided to climb up for a look.
He found himself in a makeshift laboratory though it was small and not high tech as Donnie's. It was obviously Mr O'Neil's he was a scientist after all or more a Psychologist.
In the far corner of the room Mikey saw a old tank, like a fish tank, it had no animals living in it but looked like it had at one time, it smelt and Mikey found the smell familiar to him which he couldn't place, he looked at the gravel inside the tank and the rock and ornaments everything looked familiar but he'd never been up here, he felt confused by this.
"Mikey!" Leo shouted him, his absence had now been noticed,
"Coming bro" Mikey replied as he made his way down the ladder, no doubt to another reprimand for sneaking off and going where he knew he shouldn't - the usual.

The four brothers headed home, leaving Casey with April to no doubt some TLC from April much to Donnie's dismay, his argument that Mr O'Neil wouldn't like Casey spending the night under the same roof as April fell on deaf ears.
As the turtles entered the lair Master Splinter was in bed asleep, Mikey was now unusually quiet, and headed straight to bed. Donnie still sulking headed into his lab while Leo and Raph ate the pizza April had saved for them that they brought home in front of the TV.
"hmm, thought we'd have to fight to stop Mikey eating this?" Raph said as he munched away on his slice,
"Yeah I'm surprised he's the first to bed, he's normally the last up" Leo added,
"where'd he disappear to at April's anyway?" Raph asked,
"up into a loft, not sure what was up there though, I never went up, he came out when I called" Leo replied,
"odd, maybe he ate too much crap and was looking for the bathroom" Raph suggested, with a laugh,
"Yeah, maybe" Leo replied, he'd check in with him tomorrow.
