Chapter 3 Slay 11

Tanjiro POV

Blue Rose....
So mysterious yet charming...

I kneeled to the ground, water around me shinning a bright blue aura....It feels cold...yet...I could feel that it is burning with passion. So mysterious....What could it be...The day I saw that article that Nezuko showed me...I can't believe it. "Demon Slayers Corporation. Suspected of working with Moon Triad in Human to Demon Trafficking." There was no cure...He lied...Giyu led. The supervisor that I once admired, that admiration came crashing down completely the moment I saw that article.

Upon knowing the truth...I have to dig further. I need to know what is going on. Had mine and many lives being sacrificed without us even knowing? They are corrupted. We are just a pawn. So I went off the grid. I search up everything that I could possibly find...I paste everything on the walls to get a good idea of what is happening. No matter how much I try to find, something is not matching up. That something lies in that Triad. I need to somehow get into it. I have to change...My current plan will not work. It will not work... "I can help." I look to the mirror, upon hearing that sound. My reflection is talking to me. "Give me a chance, Tanjiro. We can achieve what we want to achieve!" I look away, I don't want to sell my soul to my inner demons for power. I can't do this to myself. My eyes open and I find myself in my own room.

I went to the bathroom for a breather. Washing my face, trying to forget what I just heard. Those voices in my head...They are deadly but they are equally addictive to hear. I need a new plan...A plan that can shift everything to its rightful place...

Nezuko came to me, a few days ago, sending me a message, telling me of what she had found. "Tanjiro! I found out that based on this article, I managed to dig through the databases and I found an attendance list, every month there is a high amount of human traffic that have entered the corporation, but the thing is...They never checked out. I search out some names on the list and they have some locked features. I managed to unlock it and I found out that they are from Demon Slayer Corporation  that further proves that article authenticity."

I can't believe my eyes. They are indeed doing Human Trafficking, but one thing that I still have the desire to know... "Are they trafficking demons too?" The voices in my head are speaking to me again. Don't give in...Come on... "Get out of my head!" I said to myself. "How could they...How could they be trafficking Humans?! They...Demon Slayers...Moons...All of them...All of them...How could they...I-"

"They...Never return...They never-"
"Bond with me! We can get our revenge together!"

It feels like my eyes are open to something that was out of my reach, it feels so long and neverending. It is only..that shadow that could help me now...But who knows what that shadow of mine can do. I look at my own reflection again, as though I know he is hearing me, I said to the mirror directly "If you let me call the shots, I will let you out. Will you agree to that? Zankoku." "Of cause, think of me as your fuse to your powers. You and I are the same afterall."

This is something that is hard to explain...Those voices in my head turns out to be an ally of mine that I have been talking to for two years. Zankoku have been inside of me, but he always slept behind the curtains. Finally, he has awakened, and I believe he will be a good ally of mine to exact my revenge upon those two corporations. So I agreed.

I once again, find myself kneeling on the ground, with water all around me. The water looks so blue, that it hurts my eyes, but no matter what I do, I can't look away. There I was, looking at another reflection of myself, but it's standing in front of me. I look up and his face is there, "Will you agree for me to give you my powers to exact revenge? My powers only serve the people I trust who will rain destruction upon the lives of many. Will you accept that this may come as a curse, and you will fully no longer be able to live the life that you once sorted out to return." I look to the ground, contemplating about it...I have to...For the sake of mankind who doesn't deserve to be like this. Neither those innocent demons who are forced to be jailed up by those Demon Slayers as well. I need to find the proof for that. I need to...I need to. "Yes, revenge for Humans and Demons whose lives are lost due to selfish needs. I will find the truth out of everything and clear those weeds away for the world to be at peace." I answered.

Zankoku looked at me, this is something my previous demon selves have not conquered all these time, my past lives have just been possessed by Zankoku, but now it's different. Zankoku is willing to give me his powers and let me be me. I am willing. He raises his hands to me and places his palm on my head. It feels like fire, it consumes me, blue fire burning through my body, my skeleton tails came out of me, the flames engulfed it. It scarred my bones, with the blue and red aura. My eyes are burning with that flames. It burns, but it feels powerful. Zankoku's soul disappears and it came to me...All three souls are in me, I am the sole winner of their powers.

I open my eyes, that blue flames stayed in me, I can feel it. Looking at the mirror, I smiled upon looking at my own reflection...

"Now tell me. What do you know about that news article." Yushiro is feeling rather stressed out. "Just what has gotten into you?!"  Yushiro asked in horror...I used that fear to my advantage. "Alright. I have been working outside of the field, so I know the best of the Demon Slayers Corporation more. I know every month, there are about 10 Demons or so who would get sent over to DSC, to do some 'Work'. The last time I heard, a lot of them never came back..or they came back but they will die soon. The article. Whoever posted it, is doing a big favour in trying to flip this operation open." Yushiro said to me.

I smiled upon hearing the news... "Great." I said to him, caressing his face. "You are so beautiful when you get scared. Hehehe."I gave him a remark that I never thought I would give....This..is unexpected..But our relationship goes way back...
