Y/n pov

I woke up to Vinnie not there so I got ready for work

After work I went out to go shopping for some more clothes and went to get my nails done over again

Vinnie's pov

Since y/n was at work I decided to go and help her parents move out

"You guys can't take everything with you." I said as the dad tried taking the plants they had

"Why not??" Mrs. Y/l/n

"You want to trick the guys into thinking you just went out for a couple days. Take the things that are special to you"

She nodded and y/n's dad put the plant back where he got it

"I got you guys plane tickets and rented a house for you guys in Virginia"

"Why Virginia" Mr. Y/l/n asked

They ask so many questions

"Nobody would go looking for you guys in Virginia" I said and we got in the car taking off to the airport

Y/n pov

I finished getting my nails done and walked out the mall with my bags

"Y/n??" somebody said and I turned around to see Jack

(I had to use someone)

"Jack Wright??" I said mocking him and he smiled

"It's been a while since I've last seen you. You still know how to show out from the rest" he said looking at my outfit at the last part

I smiled

"Well yeah. Nothing's really changed"

It went quite before I spoke up

"You still in that gang" I said and his face went straight for a moment

"Can we talk about that in the car" he lightly smiled and I nodded my head as we got into my car

We drove around then I parked in front of Dunkin donuts to go get some

I came back eating one and then we got to talking

"I'm still in the gang. They said I couldn't get out until I'm old and fragile" he said looking down

"You should've listened to those people in school Jack. You really thought this gangster life was gonna be easy to get out of." I said disappointed

If he knew he didn't want to be in gang after a while he should've never joined

"I know, don't guilt trip me about it" he said and I bit into my donut

"So tell me about your life"

"Well I got this new job and I maybe, sorta, kinda fell in love with me boss" I said and his eyes went wide

"I haven't seen you in a relationship since you were with broke guy that lived in a box" Jack said

We laughed for a second then I caught my breath I haven't seen him this happy since Junior year of summer

We were friends but we decided to end things since he kept getting me into danger

Senior year was terrible without him being there for me but soon enough I moved on

"Well this one is different and he's rich and treats me nice" I said smiling and he starred at me

"I happy for you" he said smiling at me and there was a pause again

"H-how about we go to this arcade I found recently it's really nice"

He nodded his head "yeah that sounds nice"

We pulled up there and played for about 2 hours

I got a call from Vinnie and bus contact name was 'V❤️'

"Who's that??" Jack asked looking at my business

"It's the guy I told you about this'll take a minute" I said then answered the phone

"Hello-"

"Y/n get home right now" he said with a very direct tone

I rolled my eyes at what I could've possibly done wrong today or any other day

"Fine just let me drop off my friend Jack" I said and ended the call

I told Jack I needed to get home and he told me where to drop him off

It was this nice house and he stayed in for bit before sighing

"This where they stay?" I asked

"Yeah jus- wish me luck" he said and I grabbed him shoulder

"They bully you?" I asked and he shook his head

I pulled him into a hug and he hugged me back

"Good luck Jack and here" I said writing my number down on a receipt I had then gave it to him

"Don't be afraid to call me" I said before he got out

I drove home and walked to the dinner table to see Vinnie sitting there
