I yawned as I stir awake. Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes. I ran my hand through my hair, trying to smoothen it a bit. Reaching out to the nightstand and unplugging my phone, it showed that it was still early morning.
"Good morning, L/n~ I'd like your help with something. Can you meet outside once you get changed?" The charming voice of Isshiki rung out of the pipe.
I sighed, wanting to stay in bed longer. I removed the warm covers and got up. I browsed through my clothing and pulled out something comfortable. After changing, I headed out, bumping into Soma and Yoshino at the entrance.
"Oh, Yukihira, L/n, you were woken up too?" Yuki said as we walked down the steps. Soma let out a 'I guess' as I nodded, shivering at the cold air.
"So we're gonna help out with something?" Soma questioned.
"We're going to harvest veggies from the back garden." Yoshino said.
"Wow, you guys even grow your own ingredients." he said, impressed.
She giggled, "The road to good food is paved with good ingredients! That's our dorm motto you see."
"Ibusaki makes smoke wood for his own use, and Ryoko, who specializes in dishes using rice malt, has her own workplace." she said as we walked passed Ibusaki who was holding a chainsaw. He was occupied with cutting some wood.
We stopped by a cage of chickens. They clucked and pecked at the ground. "I want to breed a special Polar Star chicken like the French Bresse chicken, so I'm breeding some cage-free right now."
Eventually, we arrived to the field at the back of the dorm. A variety of plants were growing. "And this is the lot we manage with Isshiki-senpai as our leader!" Yuki said.
We see Isshiki in the distance plowing the ground in a... quite revealing outfit. I blinked. He lets out a sigh and wipes his forehead before noticing us.
"Good morning, Soma, Yoshino, L/n! Morning labor is good for the spirit! Let's sweat together!" Isshiki yelled.
"It fits him to a T!" Soma exclaimed.
He walked up to us. "Knowing how food grows is part of our training. You can call this the Polar Star Farm, or even Isshiki Farm."
"Oh, Soma!" someone called out.
"Oh, Tadokoro. You're here too." she wore a cute gardening outfit.
"See?" she held up the basket of vegetable and fruits. "Isshiki-senpai grew these vegetables. Don't they look delicious?"
"Y'know, seeing you here... It's very soothing."
"Yeah, Megumi's a breath of fresh air of Polar Star."
