Today was the mock battle.

Everyone was pumped as everyone quickly finished their classes and went to the open field. "You nervous?" Claude asked. "A bit..." I whispered and he placed a hand on my shoulder, "We'll be by your side." He said and turned to our group. "Alright everyone. You know the drill. Today is a mock battle. We have to defeat the enemies before us. What I suggest is we hide in the bushes, but Ignatz and Raphael go along the sides of us.

Lysithea rolled her eyes, "A surprise attack?"

"Yes." Claude said and looked to me, "Victoria here is great at the bow and lance, she can be on the other side of Ignatz and Raphael, giving them safety. While that's going on I set traps on the battle field."

"Um... what traps did you set up?" Leonie asked and Claude answered, "Pitfalls mostly. Nothing too dangerous."

"Wouldn't you get in trouble?" I asked him and he shook his head, "I did this all the time here." He said and stepped ahead. "Once that flag goes up we are go." I looked and saw Rhea and Seteth on the sidelines. "Let the Mock Battle commence!" Rhea said as the horn was blown. "That's our cue." Claude said and looked at me, "You will be near Ignatz ans Raphael, hopefully you know some healing." I nodded and he smiled, "If anything goes down, I'll be there quickly." He winked and then ran off. I played with my fingers nervously. Thank god we won't be actually killing anyone here.. I thought, But still this is kinda scary...

People went head to head on different sides, houses fought but when one was defeated they would laugh and say "Till next time." Claude's plan came in clutch as some students fell into the pitfalls and made me kind of happy of how things were going. "Blue Lions are completely eliminated, all is left is Black Eagles and Golden Deer!" Seteth said and I looked at didn't see Dimitri and his house anywhere. Did the Black Eagles really take out the whole group? "My my Claude! If only I didn't see the pitfalls from over there!"

I whipped my head around to see Edelgard near Claude's group. "Oh crap!" Raphael said and then mad who's way over. She managed to get around the trap? "Raphael wait! Claude said to stay here!" Ignatz said going after him. I sat there confused and saw Edelgard with her teammate. Her hand on her hip and the other holding an axe. For someone who was my height, she sure has strength. Claude panicked and aimed his bow at her which she charge at him. He quickly took out a training sword and blocked the attack.

The two stared in one another eyes as they started to fight. That's when I heard footsteps behind me and saw a man with orange hair, he also had Golden eyes. "I see the new girl is on the side of the Golden Deer!" He sang and thrusted his fist into his chest, "I am Ferdinand von Aegir! Please to meet you!" I raised an eyebrow and saw he too wielded a lance. Then I heard clanks and grunts and turned to see Raphael and Igantz fighting others. I groaned and turned back, "Aren't we... suppose to fight?"

"Why- I don't fight women! They are too weak for me! I will spare you if you marry me!"

"M-Marry you?! Didn't we just meet- Aren't we enemies?" I asked and he smiled and held his lance beside him, "I tried countless times to marry the women in the Monastery, to come to no avail."

"Would you stop forcing yourself to marry women?!" A yell was heard as a woman came into the picture that wore a hat. "We were strictly suppose to win here!"

"I can't help but get distracted, Dorothea! This girl is new and I wanted to-"

"Oh my god- You're the new girl?!" Dorothea asked with her green eyes wide. I was taken off guard. These are the enemy and they were suppose to quote on quote defeat me, but so far this is just like a meet and greet. "Victoria!" Lysithea yelled and did some magic and knocked Ferdinand aside. "Ferdinand is out!" The knight said and Ferninand stood. "Dammit! Such a low blow house of Ordelia!" He yelled and Lysithea smirked and brushed her hair aside, "Deal with it!"

Ferninand walked well more like stamped like a child off the battlefield and then Lysithea was whacked aside. Dorothea stood triumphantly as she flashed her magic. "Damn you!"

"Oh I'm sorry! I'm just getting pay pack!"

"Lysithea is out!"

"Victoria defeat this she-devil!" Lysithea said and ran off. I looked at Dorothea and twirled my lance a bit. "Oh? I guess we have to fight." She said and waved her hands to cast a spell or something. I ran up to her and swung my weapon and she dodged it quickly. Then she threw that spell at me and it struck me back, but my feet dug in the ground preventing me from falling. "Wow! That was my most powerful move! I'm surprised your still standing!"

"Well it did hurt." I said as I brushed my skirt and ran back at Dorothea as we fought for a bit. Her throwing magic and me swinging my lance. We were head to head, neck to neck. Out of the distance I heard Edelgard be defeated. My head snapped over to where I saw our house cheer for finally taking her down and the black haired man was taken down as well. Suddenly a large burst of energy pushed me aside, I almost fell down but quickly, but clumsily, got back to my feet. "Gotta focus on enemy!" Dorothea yelled and ran over.

My breathing started to be uneven. I was almost out of healing items as well. If she hits me again, I'm out and it'll be only Raphael, Ignatz, Claude, and Leonie. (Hilda wanted to be defeated so she can sleep, and Lorenz was defeated cause he bloated his ego and got one shotted) Dorothea then waved her hands and summoned another magic spell. I set my weapon out to block the attack to only see an arrow hit her shoulder. She blinked and looked to the side. Claude twirled his bow and waved at me, "Heya Vick! Sorry I kept you waiting!"

"I was kinda doing well... for once." I mumbled as Claude sashayed over to me and stood by my side. "So our leader was taken out... welp I guess I'm surrounded." She said and raised her hands as everyone circled around her. "We did it!" Raphael roared and everyone started cheering in the stands. "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this years Mock Battle was the Golden Deer!" The knight yelled as little confetti flew in the air.
