"Lyra wake up love" I heard Minho say shaking me lightly

I sat up and grabbed the small bag of stuff I found yesterday there was water flashlight bandages hair ties and some other stuff

We started walking again we were at something that looked as if it used to be a city but was now just a bunch of ruins

We roamed through the city

"What the hell happened to this place"fry said looking around

"I don't know"

"It doesn't look like anyone's been here in a long time" I added

"I hope the whole worlds not like this"Aris said

"Whoa hang on stop" Thomas said

I turned around and looked at Thomas

"Get down everybody hide hide" Thomas screamed

We ran under yet another big piece of concrete

I looked up to the sky and seen an big aircraft and then two helicopters

"They're never gonna stop looking for us are they" Minho said

"Probably not min"I said

We got up and started walking again we walked up a massive sand dune

We got to the top in the distance there was big mountains

"Those mountains that's gotta be it" I said

"That's a long way off"Newt stated

"Then we better get moving" Minho said

We went to start walking again when winston collapsed

"Winston hey you ok" I asked kneeling down next to him

"What do we do" Teresa asked

"Winston can you hear me" newt said

We made a make shift stretcher and put Winston on it and some of the boys carried him

The wind got stronger causing a sand storm

"Lyra put this round your face" Minho said handing me a bandana

"Thanks min" I said wrapping the bandana round my face

"We gotta find shelter" Thomas shouted

We found a little place to sit in until the storm was over

"Hey Lyra can I talk to you" Minho said

"Sure" I smiled

He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a quiet place no one could hear us
