Chapter 2✄

    Jataro's POV

         I just stared down at the pale tan paper that had writing on it. "When are we meeting these people-?" Nagisa inquired looking up at Kotoko. "I'm unsure as of the moment, I was given these alittle over 4 hours ago when I went into town." Kotoko stated. "Im going into town later to get lunch for us all, I can stop an ask." Masaru smiled. "Alright." Nagisa replied "can I go back to the hill now?" "yes you can Nagisa." Kotoko replied rolling her eyes jokingly. "Can I come with you?" I asked Nagisa as he was about to walk away. "Oh, sure!" said in response. We walked up the hill Nagisa sat down on the grass. I sat down as well and fixed my mask before I took out a piece of paper and a pencil. I sketched using my leg as a place to draw. I trusted Nagisa most out of the group because he was the only one who seemed to actually care about me. We sat there for about 5 minutes before I said something,

"Hey Nagisa?"
"what is is Jataro?"
"Can you promise me one thing?"
"Hm?"
"Promise me you'll never leave me?"
"In what way do you mean leave you? Like leave you as in death or leave you as a friend?"
"A-As in death-"
"I promise I won't leave you."

I got slightly nervous saying the last part of the sentence. Nagisa just sat there looking down at the town, I mean I couldn't blame him it was a very view. The sun reflected off the Mental rooftops, the sky was a pastel blue color that faded into a deep blue color, the sun was a bright yellow circle, it reminded me of a yellow ball. I stopped sketching and put the pencil and paper away before lying on the ground. I started to feel like I was over heating so I took my mask off and hugged it to my stomach. I layed there for about 2 minutes before Nagisa noticed,

"are you okay?"
"Yeah I felt like I was over heating thats all."
"Oh alright-"

I felt bad he had to see my ugly face, but that mask gets so hot in the summer time. We stayed like that for roughly 10 minutes before we started talking about very random things. Kotoko came up to get us eventually. "We meet them for the first time tomorrow." she panted from running up the hill. "Okay, thank you Kotoko." Nagisa responded.
