Outside The Police Station...

Alhaji Musa came to sympathise with Humaira. He folded his hands to the back like an investigator officer and quitely walked like a cat to where Humaira and barrister Edward were.

"I'm so sorry for your lost, Humaira. I hope you find your son pretty soon. By the ways... Are you married?" He asked.

She turned to him with fire of hatred burning in her eyes. She grabbed a big of wood beside her and threw it at him but he jerked away.

"What did I do?" He asked confusedly from a distance.

She got really pissed up but tears kept streaming down her face.
"I would expose you Alhaji Musa! And my God would definitely judge you! You'd suffer a very slow and painful death, Alhaji Musa!! I just pray I find my son!!" Her voice shivered and sounded dour.

"Come on, Humaira. Don't stress yourself, let's go." Barrister Edwards cooed and took her into her car. She wanted to drive but he insisted he'd drive her home. She handed him the keys and they left the police premise.

"Idiots! They think they would ever be able to expose me? Good thing I took him out of Abuja.' He muttered to himself and and smirked at their foolishness.

He got into his Jeep and drove back to office.

Humaira got home, tired and weak. She had been stressed from everything. Her head ached so much and her whole body felt like paralyzing. Her eyes were red and swollen, yet she couldn't stop crying. She just couldn't stop thinking about Hadee and that devil of a man.

"I'd be back to check on you tomorrow, Humaira. Would you be able to start work? Tomorrow is Monday, your first day as a lawyer."

"I don't know barrister. I'm so heart broken right now. How can I get Justice for someone when I'm being cheated on? Can I ever win such a case? Do I look strong or bold enough to even move close to the courtroom let alone argue? I don't want to lose my first case... I'm so scared and puzzed. I don't know what to do."

"You can try if you want to. You've been dreaming for this for long... Don't get depressed because of one stupid, old man's mistake. I know he'd be exposed pretty soon."

"I hope so, barrister. But right now, I don't even get myself. I feel my baby boy is outside somewhere and I'm unable to protect him. I feel he's alive somewhere, calling out for me. If I don't hear from the police tomorrow, I would go in search for him by myself."

"What?! B..but that's risky. You know, right?"

"Yes... I know it's risky but Hadee is worth the sacrifice. I've gone through a lot for him, you have no idea what I've been through. Anyways, no one would be able to stop me. And who knows, I might meet those stupid kidnappers."

"Do you even recognize them? No! So don't think about it. I'm so worried for you Humaira, as a colleague. Please, don't take law into your hands, let the police do their job. Perhaps, you need to watch out for your own safety right now. You and Zainab... You need to be there for each other especially during difficult times like this." He stood up from the chair.

"I would like to take my leave now. I need to prepare for tomorrow. Have you told Anttony Winifred about these?"

"No, not yet. But I would call her."

"Okay. Fine then. Goodbye." He muttered before going out.

Humaira didn't eat or sleep since the day before. She had been so worried, she didn't even get herself. Gently placing her head backwards, she thought about what happened at the police station.
