Context: I got really inspired to write this one day. Apollon basically said "poetry time" and I came out of a writing haze to this lol. It's a poetic rewrite of a story about one of Apollon's lovers. Can you guess which one?

Warnings: vague mentions of death

~ Poem ~

A fine summer's day

Outside, we both play

A simple game

The wind and sun both caress me

As I run about the courtyard freely

One filled with joy, one with jealousy

As only one holds the true key

I throw with all my might to see if I can get his godly precision to crack

He grins at my hubris and my mortal strength is no match

The disc comes back,

I look at my love with a smile and a laugh before seeing the panic in his eyes as- the world goes black

...

Nothing...

Darkness...

Absence... of light

Absence... of him

And my realization is grim

As I feel my beating heart dim

And my head starts to swim

My last thought is only of him
