[Nobody Stays Dead]
Yua skipped around the forest while her brother clenched his jaw. Their parents were obsessing over the revival of Katherine Pierce while Yua poked around the trees.
"Yua, we should go back." Riki said, scared of the moving figure behind the trees. Yua groaned.
"Riki, nothing bad is going to happen." Yua assured her older brother. Riki let out a huff of disappointment as he followed his sister. Riki screamed as he is slammed to the ground. The man was tall and slim, gripping a knife, pinning Riki to the floor.
Yua quickly turned around, seeing this man slam his knife in her brother's chest. Yua gasped.
"Incedia." Yua chanted. Her flames hit the man with great precision. The man screamed in agony, losing his grip on Riki. Riki managed to wriggle his way out of the man's hands. Riki tried to run back to the house, but he was bleeding too much and could barely walk. Yua rolled her eyes, grabbing him by the collar, pulling him closer to her. "Asinta Mulaf Hinto." Yua spelled, reducing the pain Riki was feeling. Yua then chanted a healing spell. She wasn't sure if it would work, considering it was a difficult spell to master, but she had spent days trying to master most of the enchantments her father would teach her. She sighed in relief once she saw the stab wound heal.
"Thanks." Riki muttered. Yua nodded, picking up the man's knife. He seemed to be a vampire since a human wouldn't have lasted this long. Yua threw the army knife, slicing off the vampire's head. Yua retracted her fire, watching as the vampire fell to the ground. His skin turned ash gray. His bright blood covered a silver bracelet with a lapis lazuli jewel.
Katherine groaned. She looked around finding, only ashes. Her last memory was Stefan stabbing her as the fire engulfed the ex-lovers. Katherine's left hand went to her right wrist, frantically searching for her bracelet. Her right hand touched her matching necklace.
"Katerina," A familiar voice rang in her ears. She looked behind her to find the man who courted her with one intention, to kill her. His beautifully haunting face made her run for five hundred years. "Well, it's no fun if you don't at least try to run away." Klaus complained. Katherine took a deep breath.
"Go ahead, Klaus, kill me." Katherine challenged. Klaus was the villain of her story, of most people's story. Usually, the hero won, but Katherine was no hero.
"I let my first child die. I killed my 2nd." Katherine thought. Klaus walked towards her, putting his cold hands around her neck. Katherine closed her eyes, ready to no longer feel the waves of guilt drown herself. She gritted her teeth as she realized she was still alive. Klaus's hands were still on her neck. She could feel his warm breath crashing down on her neck.
"I can't." He said.
Katherine turned around, looking at Klaus, confused.
"You mean this is what I ran from for five hundred years? A man who can't snap his biggest enemy's neck?" Katherine asked, outraged. Klaus looked down at Katherine's chest. "What?" She asked as she felt her body burn as his eyes stared at her chest.
"Nothing. If you want to die, go jump off a cliff." Klaus snapped. Katherine rolled her eyes, muttering to herself. "You were too stupid to realize that I didn't even search for you twice. You simply ran into me not from me." Klaus said as Katherine stomped away.
"Really?" Katherine asked, walking closer to Klaus. "So Elijah was lying when he told me that you tore the world apart for your 'dear Katerina'?
"I will kill you." Klaus stated, his eyes full of fury.
"Oh, so now you want to kill me. I'm sick of you. If you want to kill me, do it before I do it myself." Katherine complained. Katherine walked away from him.
Klaus wanted to kill Elijah again, this time with more stabbing and blood. If only he had woken up near Elijah. Klaus wasn't even sure where he was, but one thing was certain he needed to find his daughter, Hope.
The problem was Klaus didn't know where he is. It didn't help Katherine was the one thing on his mind. He was confused why he couldn't kill her. There was no doubt in his mind that he wanted nothing more than to snap her neck, but he failed to complete the task.
Katherine sighed. She wasn't sure what to do. Most of the time, she was fighting to keep her life, but she was tired. For once, Katherine Pierce wanted to drift back to endless sleep.
