On The Ark
I was sitting in my room with Clarke studying. "come onnnn~~ just do itttt~~" Clarke said from behind me on my bed.
"No Clarke. You know we'll get caught or something bad will happen" I said with a sigh.
"You seriously think that?" She asked. I could hear her stand up. I just continued writing. There was a moment of silence then two hands rested on my shoulder.
"Clarke" I warned putting down my pencil.
"Xania~~" She taunted.
"What are you doing?" I asked as she leaned down further.
"Convincing you," She whispered. She was right above my right ear. I could feel her breath on the top of my ear. "Your ears are turning red," She said.
"No duh you're breathing on them," I said turning my head to the left. Clarke's hand slithered from my right shoulder to underneath my chin. She slowly turned my face to hers. She stared at me for a little.
"Do it" She said. I could smell the moonshine on her breath.
"Seriously Clarke? Moonshine?" I said trying to change the subject. She smiled.
"Don't act like you haven't had any before" She said still staring at me.
"And don't change the subject," She said narrowing her eyes at me and smirking. I just scoffed and pushed her hand away from my chin.
"Fine," She said backing up from me. "I'll just have to make you," She said.
"What-" I tried to say but was interrupted by Clarke putting me in a chokehold. "Clarke," I said strained.
"You always want to teach me how to fight... teach me how to fight," She said into my right ear.
"Not like this," I said tapping her arm.
"I'm not letting go until you do something about it," She said. I could feel her smile.
"Fine... I'll do it," I said. She let go of me. "Just know I could have knocked you on your ass," I said looking at her.
"Sure whatever just get to it," She said jumping up and down excitedly. I looked down. I could feel the heat coming off of my face.
"Come on Xania don't make it any more awkward than it has to be," She said laughing slightly.
"I'm not the one that asked," I said looking up at her.
"Yeah, I know but come on I need to find out," She said whiney like.
"god I hate you," I mumbled stepping toward her.
"If you hated me you wouldn't have agreed to do this," She said stepping toward me.
"I was forced against my will," I said rolling my eyes.
"Sure you were," She said smirking. We were inching closer by the second.
"What even makes you think you might be... you know," I said furrowing my eyebrows.
"I just have a feeling... you know," She said. "Now hurry up. Wells is waiting for me in the cafeteria" She said.
"Whatever," I said. We were now inches apart. I looked into her eyes. She smiled softly. She had such an innocent smile. I leaned in. She leaned in. I leaned my head to the right. She leaned hers to the left. I could feel her breath on my lips.
"Do it" She whispered. I closed my eyes. I leaned in. Our lips made contact. She put her right hand on my cheek. I put my right hand on her waist. We switched our head position.
"Hey Xania?" Someone said entering the room. We jumped apart.
"OH, MY GODS!" Peter shouted looking at us. I looked over at him. He was smiling but had a surprised look on his face.
"Oh my god," Clarke said. I looked over at her. She was blushing hard.
"Get out!" I yelled at Peter. He laughed like a maniac then shut the door with a thud. I stared at the door for a little.
"I'm sorry he never knocks... I knew it" I said turning to my bed. I flopped down on it. Clarke giggled. I looked up at her. "So?" I asked shoving my face into my pillow. She sat down next to me.
"yeah that was just as I thought it would be like" She said looking down at me.
"You thought about kissing me?" I asked smirking looking up at her. She looked away. It was my turn to giggle. Clarke elbowed my shoulder. I just laughed.
"was I good at it?" Clarke asked. I looked over at her.
"Ki- Kissing?" I asked.
"duh," She said smiling at me.
"Well I don't know I've never kissed anyone," I said sitting up. She snapped her head toward me.
"Xania Sebastian Kane. I was your first kiss?" She said with her mouth wide acting fake surprised.
"Oh whatever," I said throwing my pillow at her. "Did you have to use my middle name?" I asked her.
"Of course. You know how I love~~ your middle name" She said scrunching her nose.
"Ughhhh," I said leaning back into my bed. I could hear her laughs echo throughout my room.
