I knew I was fucked the second I heard JJs voice coming from the TV.

They'd figured it out.

It was only a matter of time before they would. I knew that. But I also knew I could outsmart them. I always did. But first, I needed her.

Her beautiful, wide eyes stared back at me, her body frozen with fear. It was clear she'd heard the report. It was also clear that she had an idea of what I am. But she didn't know to the extent I've gone in order to survive.

"Hello, pet. It's nice to see you again." Because it was. It was very nice to see her. Sure, it'd only been a few hours, but I didn't care. It was still a treat to be in her presence. I expected her to run. To run to her phone and call 9-1-1. To be afraid of me.

But what I didn't expect was her to do none of those things. No, instead, she walked forward, her body clearly moving on its own accord. Her body was stiff but the second she straddled my lap, her arms hooking around my neck, I knew I'd had her. That I won.

"What did you do?" Her voice was barely louder than a whisper and I wasn't paying attention, I would've missed it.

I shook my head, my thumb and pointer gripping her chin and I pulled her into a kiss. I'm not entirely sure what it was about her that was so intoxicating; so addicting. I planned on this being like the rest, fuck her and leave, never looking back. But I couldn't.

If I was going to go on the run, I wasn't leaving her behind. I was planning on doing everything and anything to get her to come with me. No matter how horrible of an idea it was, I was taking her. And as she kissed me back, her fingers tugging on my hair, I knew she'd do anything I asked her to.

As I said, take care of them after sex and you become a fucking legend. She pulled away, slight regret flashing in her eyes. "What did you do?" She asked me, a little louder this time. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to tell her? Do I admit to what I'd done? What if she called the cops on me, turned me in. I wasn't going back to prison. If anything the BAU should be thanking me.

I decided to answer her, I saw it in her body that she wouldn't tell. And if she tried, I wouldn't give her the chance. I'd never hurt a woman before, but I knew I was capable. Cat was the one to show me just how "capable" I could be when provoked. And then men, whose blood were on my hands, proved it.

"Just a little vigilante work, my pet. Nothing super sinister." And it wasn't a lie. Men who raped and murder the innocent met the barrel of my gun. child traffickers and even a few unsubs became corpses at my hand. And I wasn't even sorry.

Her eyes widened but she stayed put in my lap. I knew she wasn't going anywhere, because doing that meant losing me. And I knew she wasn't going to risk that. I couldn't help but wonder what risks she would take.

"If it wasn't sinister, your team wouldn't be on a man hunt for you." She ran her hands down my chest, her fingers playing with the buttons of my shirt. And while she wasn't wrong, she wasn't totally correct.

"They got what they deserved." Her eyes snapped up to mine, her lips parted softly as she gasped. I couldn't explain why I came back for her. She was supposed to be a one night thing. But when I left, I couldn't get her out of my mind. It was fucking annoying.

"Spencer..." her voice was filled with concern. Such a stupid girl to care about a psycho like me. "Why?"

I shook my head. I wasn't ready for that conversation. Because the truth was, I didn't know the why. I probably would never know the why.

My fingers traced down her face and her neck. My tongue peeking out as I admired her. She was a smoke show. And I was lucky to be in her presence. I met her eyes, a smile crossing her lips as her fingers played with the hair at the nape of my neck.

"What is it about you?" I wondered out loud. I'd never wanted a woman the way I wanted her. I wanted her to live this life with me. Run with me. Kill with me.

She kissed me then, gentle.

Her forehead rested on mine, her eyes staying closed as she breathed me in. "I could say the same about you."

I think I came back to see if she was afraid. Her being scared of me would make leaving her behind easier. I'd be okay if she was scared of me. But she wasn't. And it bothered the fuck out of me. It was a lose, lose situation.

Taking her with me meant more room for error. It meant I could be caught faster. And I planned on never being caught. I refused to go back to prison. It wasn't happening. I wouldn't survive. And this time, there would be no way of getting me out.

But I wasn't leaving without her.

Fuck the risks. I would take them all for her.

"I can't stay here," I confessed. She nodded as she pulled back. She ran her hands up my arms and over my shoulders before resting them on my chest. She played with the buttons on my shirt and I could feel my frozen heart melting with each tiny movement she made. "Come with me?"

Her eyes snapped up at that, her lips parting open in shock. I knew she didn't expect that. Shit, I didn't either. I watched her roll the idea around her head.

"Where would we go?" I smiled. She was so fucking easy to persuade. Stupid little girl. I knew it was the innocence of her, the people pleaser, that forced her to ask. She was wrapped around my finger and she knew the consequences of not coming with me.

I shrugged, "away." I didn't have a plan. Just go on the run until I figured it out. "Anywhere but here. What do you say, pup? Wanna dance with the devil?"

The sadistic smirk crossed her face, "how long do I have to pack?"

Stupid little puppy. My stupid little puppy.
