sunshine girl

I once knew a girl who could dance in the rain
Her smile was like sunshine, without any strain
Any words they used never caused her pain
And no matter what they said, she would never change

The sunshine girl, she was
She shone like the stars in the sky
Sunshine girl, she was
She grew wings and soared high

But then words played tricks on the mind
They used as chains to bind
All those lies thought as truth in her eyes
There started Sunshine girl's demise

I once knew a girl who could dance in the rain
Her smile was like sunshine, without any strain
But their harsh words had hurt her anyway
And from then on, Sunshine girl was never same
