lewis finally exited the room. nini let out a deep sigh of relief as ricky turned around to face her. he squatted down to her level and brought her face back into his hands. he used his thumb to wipe the tears off of nini's cheeks, "you okay..?"

the girl shook her head and started to cry even more. ricky let out a deep breath and pulled nini into his arms. she hugged him as tight as she could and started to sob. she never wanted that to be the way things would end with lewis. they were best friends. they loved each other. they were they're everything's. yet, that was probably the last time the girl was gonna see him again. and it ended like that.

it hurt her. the things he said to her because she knew that all of it was true. she always thought about it in the back of her head but she thought that she was overthinking. yet, everyone noticed. even lewis. no matter what nini did, she was never going to be able to satisfy everyone. she was stupid. she was too much to handle. nini was a liability to everyone. maybe that's why she's never gonna be happy. no matter what she does.

nini was finally tired. there were no more tears left to cry. she let go of ricky and the boy grabbed onto her hand as he led her to the bed. the two of them climbed into bed and went under the covers. it was all natural to them. ricky laid down as nini laid her head in his chest. her eyes were closed and she let out soft sniffles.

the boy looked down at nini. she looked so fragile right there and then. he started to comb his fingers through her hair as he thought about the right words to say, "hey nini..? i'm really sorry about that. you didn't deserve that."

nini sighed but she stayed put on ricky's chest as she spoke, "yes, i did. i've hurt you and lewis so much. i should've seen it coming."

ricky let out a sigh. he felt bad like maybe if he wasn't so hard on nini earlier, she wouldn't be feeling like this. "that doesn't mean he should talk to you like that. he knew you'd get upset that's why he said it. he was using your own problems and insecurities against you. don't listen to him."

nini sat up. she lifted herself up and leaned her back against the headboard as she spoke, "i'm never gonna see him now. that was my last time ever talking to him."

ricky turned to face nini with an apologetic look, "i'm sorry, nini. i know how much he meant to you."

the girl faced ricky. she was tired, "can we take a "nap, please? i don't think i can write right now."

ricky let out a soft smile and nodded his head. he gave nini a soft kiss on the forehead and the two of them started to get under the covers again. ricky wrapped his arms around nini as she pressed her body against him. she felt safe and secure in his arms. something she didn't used to feel before.

"...nini?" ricky called out before her eyes got too heavy.

"hm?" nini quietly asked, getting more and more tired.

"i think i might fall in love with you."

nini turned around to face ricky. their faces were inches away from each other. his arms were still wrapped around her body as they looked at each other.

"i think i already fell."
