Chapter 39

Sakura's pov
I start to wake up a little colder, then usually slowly I flutter my eyes open and I look around the room. Nothing seemed off, so why did I wake up colder than usual? I look to my left bed side to be met with an empty bed. Of course I woke up cold, I was in Itachi's embrace, I let out a small annoyed groan as I sat up. I rub my eyes to get rid of the remaining sleepiness as I do it hear the door open I look in the direction of the door to see Itachi enter the room slowly. I see him entering with a hot cup of green tea. I smile at him warmly as I reached out to the hot cup of tea. I look at him a split second before I ask him, " What did I do to deserve this? I asked slightly confused, he turned to me and smiled, " I wanted to is there something wrong about that? "He asked with only slight of sadness in his voice. I only smiled and shaked my head as in a no he smiled and continued to sip his own cup of tea there was a tense silence in the room for some reason before he spoke up " You should get ready so we are on time to see the Hokage before we leave. I smiled and nodded and with that he got up from the bed and headed towards the door opening it and finally existing the room leaving me all alone yet again. I got up leaving the warmth and comfort of the bed I walked to the door and I pulled it open, I exited the room closing the door behind me. I head downstairs to the bathroom to get ready for the new mission that was awaiting me and Itachi. I let a heavy sigh escape my lips as I walked past a reader Itachi I entered the bathroom closing and locking the door behind me. I started the water and waited for it to heat up when it finally did, I got undressed and I got in to the warm running water. I let out a small sigh of satisfaction as the water hits my back. I let my hair get wet before washing it when it's wet enough I grab the shampoo bottle I opened it and I put some in the palm of my hand I set the closed bottle down before rubbing the shampoo into my hair massaging my scalp. I ran my fingers through my long hair washing it with the excess of the shampoo that was on my hand. I lastly washed my body and my face turning the water off grabing a warm towel and stepping out of the hot shower wrapping myself into the towel. I grabbed another towel rubbing my hair with it trying to dry the best I can. I get dressed in to my ANBU uniform. I brush through my hair and I pull it into a tight ponytail, I pull the front piece of my hair out to nicely and neatly frame my face. I last grabbed my mask hanging the towels up and finally exiting the bathroom. I exit the bathroom and I walk over to Itachi he slowly looked up at me from the book he was reading, "Let's get going. I said as I saw he was already in his ANBU uniform and had his mask in his lap. He nodded placing the mask down and getting up from the couch walking into the halway with his mask in hand putting his ninja sandals on I do the same and we finally leave the house and we started to make our way to that Hokage tower. We walk up the stairs to Tsunade's office as I get closer, I see the door of Tsunade's office flung open. Shizune was holding TonTon in her arms she was breathing heavily we walked closer to her " Hello Shizune-san. " I greeted her in respect but still not showing any emotion she snapped her head towards and slightly smiled " Oh hi Sakura-chan and Itachi-san lady Tsunade is awaiting you. " she said still a bit out of breath " Shizune-san if I may ask you why you out of breath? " I asked her " Well I ran up and down the stairs like 4 times. " I nod in understanding " Well we will go in now. " she nodded and went back to work. I raised my hand and I knock on the door lightly I hear a calm come in I pull the door open and I stepped into her office with Itachi behind me. Itachi and I bow to the women in front un in all respect we stand up straight and we wait for her to start talking " So called to wish you nothing but luck on the mission I'm aware that this mission is really dangerous. I'm sorry for sending you two since Sakura is at a very high risk. So please be careful it is a S-rank mission remember that. " we nodded " Good your both dismissed! " we nod and bow to her before leaving her office. We make our way to the gates off the village I have forgotten how long I haven't been here ever since my last mission. Me and Itachi place our masks on and we start to leap from tree to tree. After 3 hours straight off running and lots of jumping I start to sense one really strong chakra and one very faint chakra I stop in my tracks Itachi stoped " Did you pick up something? " I nodded " Alright I'm going to let you focus. " he said I nodded closing my eyes focusing on the chakra signature trying I figure out where it is. After course of minutes I picked up where they were located I open my eyes and I looked at Itachi nodding. I began to led the way with Itachi behind me after 45 minutes of some more running I see a figure below us I stop and signal to Itachi that their below us. He nodded and stopped dead in his tracks and then that's when we heard a deep voice say " I know your there come out. "

Hello there readers ik it has been a while actually fuck a while! It has been forever since I updated this book and I apologize but nothing came to mind. And didn't enjoy it as much as I do now again! I'm again very sorry for not uploading. I hope your 2021 started good and I hope you're all healthy and safe. If anyone had their birthday happy belated birthday and if your birthday is coming up happy early birthday! Again I'm so sorry but I had lost my sense of creativity I guess. I also needed a break things have gotten really bad in my family and especially with my mental health. Things are still not back to normal so I hope you can forgive me for not updating.
