---Avengers POV---
The room has gone silent as the Television fades to black. The feeling that rested over the room was surreal, no one actually wanted to believe what just happened. They all watched as one of their own quickly became someone who they didn't recognize. No one moved for what felt like an eternity. They all just sat in silence together as they tried to process what was happening, but how could they? Peter was the first to snap out of the trance of disbelief he was placed under, he quickly scanned the room. Watching as his team stood in place, not moving nor breathing it seemed like. Peter scanned the room as he looked for Wanda, but she was nowhere to be seen. He quickly began to panic, shifting in the spot where he stood. Peter tried to speak up as his voice broke with every word he spoke "Gu-guys. Where's Wanda?" It is like Peter's voice echos off the walls of the room and awoke everyone from their blank stares. They avoided the eyes of one another, as they looked around for the girl who has disappeared from the room. They all called out for her, but no response. "Kid, go check her room," Tony speaks to Peter with a tone in his voice that no one could quiet place. Peter didn't move for a second, as he was trying to read Tony's body language. As Tony realized Peter was just stood there staring at him, he yelled "WHY ARE YOU STILL STANDING HERE? I SAID GO!" Stark's voice sent shivers down everyone's spine, Peter began to speed walk out of the room. Natasha then stepped closer to Tony and says "That was uncalled for Tony. You better apologize to him, I get that we are all taken back by what just happened. But all of us here-" She says while pointing to everyone scattered around the room "All of us in here have seen worse. Peter has not, and then especially when the person he just lost is the first person he's truly considered family." Natasha was inches away from Tony, standing her ground. They both were standing their ground and the tension was high between the two of them, one wrong word will send this crashing down.
Steve stands up and puts himself between Tony and Natasha, "Okay guys, Let us take this down a few notches. We are all hurting and in shock still, so this ... whatever you both are doing; needs to stop now. Natasha, please go check on peter." Natasha takes a sigh, before walking off from the main room where they once stood. Natasha needed to hide all the pain she felt in her chest and her body. She took a deep breath to compose herself before she started to climb the stairs towards Wanda's room. The pain that she felt inside her entire body was engulfing her, but she knew that she couldn't allow that to show. She needed to be there for Wanda and Peter and allowing herself to breakdown was just something that wasn't going to happen. She walked up the stairs, feeling her heartbeat with every step once she got to the top it felt like she had just run a marathon. It was probably because it felt like her body and her heart weighed a thousand tons. She rounded the corner to see Peter sitting with his back against Wanda's door and his head in his hands, as his elbows rested on his knees. She could see his back rise and fall as he silently sobbed on the ground. Natasha walks up to Peter and kneels next to him and places a hand on his head "Any luck?" She says while gesturing to the door with her head. Peter slowly raises his head and looks at Natasha, his eyes are already red from the tears. As he looks up at her he just shakes his head. Nat runs her fingers through Peter's hair before standing and knocking on Wanda's door. She clears her throat before she speaks "Wanda... Please open the door..."
---Wanda's POV---
"Go Away Natasha Please." I pleaded with her as she knocked every so gently on my door. I couldn't face anyone right now. I needed- well more like wanted to be alone. Peter had already tried to get me to open the door, he must've gone and gotten Natasha thinking that would help. There is only one thing that will help me right now, and that is Y/N. I need her back, the look on her face after they injected her with whatever was horrific. Her eyes had glossed over and turned a misty grey color, once the brown in her eyes faded away. I was standing every so still in the middle of my room, but it felt like the world was moving counterclockwise. My body felt weak, which was had become my new normal since Y/N has been missing but this ... this was different. This was all the emotions that I had been hiding, all the pent-up anger, sadness, and uncertainty came crashing down like a tidal wave. I felt like I was going to pass out, I needed to lay down. I slowly make my way to the bed, my feet are heavy and weighted. It feels like it takes me an eternity to get to the edge of the bed. I fall to my knees and I didn't want to allow myself to feel anything, as my knees hit the ground it felt like I was cemented to the floor. I gripped the edges of the bed, as I used what little strength I had left to lift myself off the ground. My arms wobbled under the weight of my body, they gave out underneath the pressure once or twice. I had to try again, I needed to get up off the ground. I finally pulled myself up on the bed, it took every ounce in my body to get myself on the bed. I finally sat down on the edge and took a breath as I stared blankly out into the middle of the room. As I zoned out while staring in the middle of the room, a memory came flooding back.
*flashback*
The light of the moon was shining through the open window, as the chill from the night crept in. The wind howled through the night, the stars were bright. Y/N was in the shower, I was sat on the bed while reading some book that I had found a while back. She came out of the bathroom and she leaned on the doorframe of the bathroom and had the biggest smile on her face as she stared at me. I tried to ignore her as long as I could, but the urge to say something sarcastic was too strong. I looked over to her and rolled my eyes, "You know it is not polite to stare Dawson." I say to her as I bring the book to my face just under my eyes to hide my growing smile. Y/N looked at me with such content in her eyes, she was happy just where she stood. I knew when she was nervous because she always looked down at her ring and avoided eye contact as she is doing right now, Y/N spoke up trying to hide her smile from me "I wasn't staring Maximoff, I was just simply admiring the beauty that sits in front of me." I removed the book from my face, to see her blushing. I loved when she did that, it made her so awkward. It wasn't a bad type of awkward, but the type that just warms your heart.
Y/N stands up from the door frame she was previously resting on and walks over to a speaker that sits on the shelf and turns it on. I give her a confused look with a smile "What are you doing Y/N?" She didn't answer me, all she did was a step closer to the bed and extend her arm out. "You ask too many questions babes," She says with a giant smile that filled her face. I couldn't ignore her request, I put my book down and put my hand in hers as she pulled me up from the bed. Y/N placed us into the middle of the room and smiled as we swayed back and forth, to the random song that was playing. Y/N placed a kiss on my forehead, and just continued to stare into my eyes. I couldn't help but smile at her, "What are you thinking about?" I asked her as my voice became shaky from my nerves. Y/N just continued to stare at me with a twinkle in her eye, she finally breaks our eye contact as she looks down to place my hand on her face. Y/N places a kiss in the palm of my hand before speaking ever so softly "I'm just so lucky" The smile that fills Y/N's face is beautiful and so comforting. Y/N puts her other hand on my face and begins to pull me closer, just as our lips are about to meet I am awoken by a bang-
~~~
I rise from the middle of the bed. The room is dark, and night has fallen. The only light that is shining in the room is the light from the moon and the light from the hallway that creeps in from under my door. I must've fallen asleep from the mental exhaustion. I groggily walk over to the door, trying to gain my bearings, my eyes can not focus. I stumble over my own feet as I try to get to the door, as someone keeps knocking. The knocking on the door synced with the pounding in my head. I open the door to see a very concerned Stark. "You need to come out here," Tony says as he walks away without giving a chance to respond. I step into the bathroom to wash the dried tears off of my face. I begin to walk out of my room to a very quiet compound. The halls are empty and the sound of my footsteps echos off the walls and traveled down toward the main living quarters. There was a faint sound of whispers that I began to hear as I got closer to the living quarters. Everyone was gathered around the couch their backs were turned toward me so they didn't see me come in. I was confused at first but then I heard him, Mr. Nick Fury. The thoughts began to race through my head trying to think of why he would be here. I try to sneak in ever so quietly so I wouldn't interrupt but Nick sees everything. He stood up from the stool he sat on and began to spoke "Well now that we are all here, we can begin." Nick gestures to a seat between Nat and Peter for me to sit. Everyone's eyes are on me as I take my seat, Natasha gives me a look asking if I'm okay. I don't answer I just brush it off with a nod and force my attention back to Nick who stands in front of us.
I watch as Nick scans the room and all our faces and takes a moment before speaking to us. "Well, today has been - horrific ... to say the least." Nick starts with. I couldn't help myself from speaking up "Oh really? What gave you that idea?" The tone in my voice came out as more of an attack than I hoped for. Steve cleared the tension after my last statement by speaking up "So Nick, Why are you here?" There is a brief pause before Fury speaks up, "I am here to explain to you who Y/N is." Fury looks directly at me while saying this, before sitting down. I noticed as Nick finished his statement Natasha tensed up. I opened my mouth to speak but I was cut off by a very interested Stark "What do you mean Fury?" The interest in his voice was clearly evident. I gave him a subtle glare before I looked back over at Nick. Fury takes a very deep breath before speaking up to answer Tony. "Well since you asked, Y/N Dawson used to be an agent with Romanoff. An unofficial agent, but an agent nonetheless. She came down to earth when her home planet exploded. When she arrived she was then picked up by a family in Wakanda. We didn't find out about Y/N and her powers until Romanoff and Dawson crossed paths. This also isn't the first time that Y/N has been in contact with Hydra ... She was kidnapped once before but we managed to find her and save her thanks to Romanoff." Nick gestures his head towards Nat, who is practically shaking. She is internally freaking out and trying desperately not to show it.
"Y/N Dawson will be fine. She is a lot stronger than we know. I've seen her come back from the worse imaginable things possible. I know that Y/N and I do not have the best past but she is one of us. We just need to find her." Nick finishes as she stands from the stool he was sat on. Fury then gives all of us a nod and gestures to Tony to follow him. I looked over at Natasha who's skin was pale and cold to the touch. I watched her eyes as she stared blankly out the window like she was reliving something. I whispered to her "Nat, are you okay? I knew you knew Y/N but there's more to the story isn't there?" My tone wasn't pleading but my eyes were. Natasha's eyes fluttered as she came back from where ever her mind was. She began to speak but her words were broken apart by the lump in her throat "Erm .. yeah ... there's ... more" Nat looked at me as her eyes turned to pools of tears before I could speak she got up from the couch and walked off to her room. I took a moment to process everything before looking over to Peter who was sat next to me the entire time "Peter... are you okay?" I ask him while looking back down at my hands. "I- I don't know Wanda. Don't take this the wrong way or anything but, I consider her my family, my sister. Yeah, I understand I have all of you but-" Peter's voice begins to break. "But she's different." I finish his sentence for him. He nods at me and we sit in silence for a few moments, before Peter stands up and turns to me "There is something I need to do, see you soon." I look at him in confusion, but before I could question him he took off at a sprint. I sat on the couch for a while longer, and once again it was just me alone.
