"Yeah, we do. Let's go outside. The music is way too loud here" Eda proposed and Serkan gladly obliged as they took two glasses and a bottle of wine. One thing was for sure. That night was going to be long. It took Eda two glasses of wine to start spilling all the things she had done with her life, from her parent's death up until that day and since she did most of the talking, all Serkan could do was hear her and appreciate her looks. That woman was extremely beautiful even on her drunken state.
"What do you think would have happened if I never left"- Eda asked as she turned to meet Serkan's gaze. They were laughing at her stories up until then, but she looked dead serious now.
"Eventually you would have grown tired of me and get off to sail the world with Selin"- Serkan said as Eda started laughing.
"Tired of you? Çok saçma."- Eda said as she looked him straight in the eyes before giving him a soft smile.
"I think we should head back. It's late, come on I'll drive"- Serkan said as he got up and gave Eda a hand as her head started spinning around. He drove her home and before they parted, Eda rose to hug him tight and give him a kiss in his cheek, dangerously close to his lips.
There was no need for words, the hug and the kiss explained themselves pretty well. There was a mix of feelings, not only lust, but desire and need for each-other. That night unlocked something in both of them that they didn't know was there.
Eda woke up with a terrible hangover remembering everything that had happened the night before. She had almost kissed him.
"Bold move, Eda" she thought to herself. But no really, there was no denying that when they had their moment last night she felt something, but her sober self couldn't quite figure out what that feeling was yet.
But she was not the only one confused. Serkan always hated physical affection, but for some reason, he didn't feel that way when it came to Eda and that scared him.
While shoving his feelings as far as possible, he got up, took a shower and got ready for work, this time for some reason actually excited to do so. He noticed Eda was running a bit late, but that didn't surprise him. She really hadn't changed at all.
Serkan's face lit up when he saw Eda enter their office wearing a pair of sunglasses to block out the light and a cup of coffee in her hand.
"Somebody's looking hangover"- Serkan said without raising his head from the pc. A smile escaped from his face and he didn't even try to hide it.
"Not me"- Eda said trying to hide any sign showing how drunk she must have been.
They had a lot of work to do that day, Eda was still working on the blueprints of the garden that was supposed to surround the orphanage. This project's deadline was moved, so they had less time to prepare.
Since the company was in crisis, they worked day and night for 4 days straight. Everyone would gather at Serkan's house to work till morning. It had been a rough couple of days, and now all that was left was just some final touches that had to be made before presenting it tomorrow.
Serkan and Eda barely had any time to talk about anything besides work, but that didn't bother them as neither wanted to end up having an awkward conversation which could have been easily avoided.
It was late and everyone was gathering their things so they could head home. Serkan noticed Eda was still working and told her she could go home to rest and that he'd finish everything up. But Eda refused. "I never leave without having fully completed my work Serkan Bolat. You should know that by now".
Serkan knew it was pointless to argue with her, history had shown pretty well how unable he was to say no to her. She noticed something wasn't adding up with the numbers, so she tried to fix that but did not let it show that something was wrong.
She could feel Serkan's gaze on her every once in a while. He had noticed that she was more stressed than usual and it clearly looked like something was wrong.
"Eda, is there something you're not telling me" Serkan asked as Eda looked up to him with worried eyes.
"It's bad Serkan"- she managed to say before explaining to him the problem that took hours to fix.
They had been working like crazy for the past 5 days and without realizing, they had dozed off together at the couch they were working on. Eda's head was laying perfectly on his chest while Serkan's arms were all around Eda's waist, hugging her to him as their legs were tangled with each-other keeping them as close as they could be.
Serkan was the first to wake up in the morning debating with his self whether that was really Eda sleeping peacefully on his chest, or just his mind playing tricks on him. The line of thoughts and admiration for the view he woke up to was interrupted as his phone rang, waking Eda up.
He cursed Engin for always having the shittiest timing ever before answering his phone. Meanwhile Eda with her adorable sleepy face went to the bathroom to freshen up a little. They'd barely had any time to sleep and today was the day their hard work paid off.
"Sleep well?"-Serkan said with a smirk on his face while looking at Eda's sleepy face.
"We must have dozed off while working, but at least this nightmare is over"- Eda said trying to make it look like the most normal thing ever.
As soon as Eda got home, she took a hot shower, washing all the fatigue away. She got ready, did her make up, dressed up amazing as always and went to work.
This was one of the best projects ever with Serkan and Eda as leads in it. They both created something amazing in a short amount of time and they left everybody speechless. It was obvious that together they were unstoppable. Fikret bey and his team loved the project and left beyond happy with the final result.
"I can't believe it Serkan, we did it. Did you see how happy they were?"- Eda said as she went to hug him so tight, with her eyes full of excitement, looking like a child when you buy them ice cream.
They were interrupted as Balca, the PR of the company entered.
"Serkan Bey, Eda hanim congrats. Everybody is talking about this right now so I've arranged a press conference tomorrow"- Balca said looking point blank at Serkan, like Eda wasn't even there.
"Hey"- Eda said trying to attract her attention or otherwise she would have eaten Serkan alive "I don't think we were properly introduced, you are..?"
"Balca, the PR manager."
"Thank you, Balca. Remind me again tomorrow"- Serkan said without even paying attention to her but still his reply made her smile.
There was so much tension in the room as Eda was shooting daggers with her eyes at her. Balca then nodded and then excused herself.
"Desperate"- Eda said as she heard Serkan immediately chuckle at her comment.
Author's note:
Can we please talk about the fragment of bolum 36? It's like the scenarists literally facetime each-other every night making lists on ways to break our heart. I think we should do a petition that the author of "The jewel of Istanbul"(Another sck fanfifc, the best in my opinion) should be the scenarist of Sen cal kapimi. Also do you think Selin is really pregnant?
