Chapter 19

Since he meets Minho, many things have changed. Hyunjin has done something that never crosses his mind before; gardening, taking different paths to reach his house, exploring different café on weekends like what other people usually do or simply doing window shopping because he's too broke to buy one thing or two.

And today, he's planning to cook with the older. He has bought the ingredients on the way back to his house from work. As it's Saturday, he only works until lunch.

"I wonder when will hyungie come." He mutters while chopping the onion. "He better comes soon or I may burn the house."

As if his pray is heard, the sound of the entrance door being opened echoes seconds later.

"Hyungie?"

"Yes, baby?" Minho answers. Once he puts the shoes inside the rack, he immediately jogs to the kitchen and hugs his boyfriend from behind.

"Seems like you don't even need my help." The older pecks his cheek. "And it smells good."

Hyunjin turns his head to the side, stares at his lover with a deadpan look. "I'm just boiling water."

"Well... I'm just too in love with you, baby." He teasingly grins.

It takes about thirty minutes for them to prepare for the early dinner. Both definitely are enjoying what they are doing as laughter keeps resonating across the room.

"Thank you for the meal!" Hyunjin cheerfully yells. But before he can dig the delicious pasta, a knock on the door interrupts him.

"I'll be right back." He then makes his way to the front door.

"Are you Hwang Hyunjin?"

Too stunned with having two police officers in front of him, he just nods his head. He doesn't even have time to comprehend the situation when the officer makes him turn around and handcuffs his hands.

"I am arresting you on suspicion of murder. You don't have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you don't mention when questioned something you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."

His eyes meet with Minho's unreadable eyes. The latter already has knife in his grip, but Hyunjin shakes his head, mouthing a "no", which successfully makes the older not to proceed whatever action he previously had in mind.

"I love you." Is the last thing that Hyunjin utters before the polices take him to the car.
