Chapter 6: Something Fishy is Going On!

Mia was waiting for Suga to pick her up from the hospital lobby when her phone rang. She looked at it and her heart started beating fast. It was Ray Santiago! She tried to put her phone on silent and ignore the call but it kept ringing. 

Suddenly it stopped and Mia thought it was the end but she saw Ray walking towards her. She quickly backed up into the hospital entrance and pressed the lift button. She couldn't wait for the lift to open so she took the stairs instead. 

Her head was hurting due to the blood rush and the adrenaline rush through her body. She tried to keep her body stable till she could get away from Ray Santiago. She started to pant as she ran up the staircase and she could see that Ray was also keeping up with her pace.

"Mia! Mia! Just listen to me! Stop running! Just listen to me first!", Ray sounded from below her.

Mia ignored his calling and continued to run for her life. She reached the top floor which was the rooftop of the hospital and she knew that she has nowhere to run now. She just wanted to hide from Ray so she ran towards a huge water tank and hid behind it. 

As Ray Santiago approached the rooftop, he started searching for Mia restlessly. He even yelled her name so loudly that even the birds on the electric wire flew away.

"I know that you are here somewhere. Better come out before I find you Mia", Ray threatened her.

Mia closed her mouth with her hands tightly and waited for someone to come to rescue her. As Mia was looking on the other side of the water tank, she felt someone pull her hair and brought her out violently.

"Ray, please don't do this! I beg you. I won't open my mouth to the police about you. Please leave me alone", Mia pleaded with Ray to let her go.

"You bet you won't be opening your mouth about me to the police but I can't let you go just like this. I can't trust you. You told everything about the wallpaper in the house, didn't you?!", Ray kept pulling Mia's hair roughly till she kneeled on the ground.

"No...I did not. I did not mean to. Sorry, Ray! I will cover up for you. Just give me some time", Mia begged Ray again.

"You little bitch! You will face the consequences now!", Ray said as he dragged Mia down the stairs.

Mia struggled hard to escape Ray's grip but it was all in vain. He managed to drag her down to the ground floor and through the entrance door as everyone was looking at them. No one dared to intervene especially with Ray looking like thunder. Ray pushed Mia through the door and pushed her as he was walking towards his car.

"Look Ray, I am hurt. I am not well. Please let me go!", Mia pleaded her luck with him.

"You are fine, now right? That is why you are being discharged! Attention seeker!", Ray yelled at Mia in the lobby.

"You realize the police are after you for your crimes?!", a voice sounded from a distance.

Ray and Mia turned around to see who was it and Mia was relieved to see Suga standing there with his hands in his hoodie pocket.

"Suga...", Mia took a step forward but Ray stopped her.

"The police? You kidding right?", Ray asked Suga curiously.

"Am I? All the evidence from the house points to you, Ray Santiago! You either surrender yourself now or you will be the one facing the harsh consequences!", Suga warned Ray with a smirk on his face.

"You can't escape anywhere dude!", another voice sounded from the back of Ray and Mia.

Ray turned and was confused at who he was. Jackson signaled Mia to take a step back from Ray while Jackson took out his handcuffs.
