The way you twisted my words
Your manipulation was a wild animal
Your words had sharp claws
As I felt them dig and score its way into my mind
Before finally breaking through the surface
Causing more damage than ever before,
Your words tore me down until I was your prey
You had your paw wrapped around my neck
Making sure I couldn't leave,
You would do anything for me to stay
You said I was the love of your life
And I fell for it
I fell for your lies,
And your claws kept getting sharper
And sharper,
As my mind always went back to the day we first met,
You told me your favorite color was
Blue and purple
Why couldn't I see it?
Why did you hide your claws from me?
Blue and purple,
I would've never thought that you would soon paint me everywhere
With those two colors
I never imagined becoming your canvas
And you only ever painted with those two colors
Because to you,
My body was just a blank canvas
That you were determined to make colorful,
But my mind was no longer a blank canvas
Because your claws had cut so deep
and so far,
That It was already covered with many layers of
Purple and blue paint.
