I walked in the gym and started my warm up. I didnt really bother the whispers around me, probably jealous but who cares? Im here for basketball. Since yestersay whispers were everywhere around me, probably bc they think im arrogant or smth but thats not their buisness. I bumped a girl accidentaly and immidiatly helped her up
"Eh.. gomen" she stared at me blankly and took my hand and stood up, she had white long straight hair with black sort of grayish tips. She took her hand out and lifted her head a bit
"Kita kohana" i took her hand a bit shocked by her confidence and the fact that she didnt bother to talk to me even tho whispers were literally around me everyday. I helped her clean up a bit and i saw she wore a number 11 jersey. Ah a regular, she must be good.

I smirked a bit as an idea came up in my head

We both got in the court as other people started to swarm around us. This girl must be popular, but shes pretty quite.
I blasted my airpods volume
I really wanted to see her skills so i decided to go easy on her first.
"Dont go easy on me" she said bluntly staring at me
"Alright" i chuckled as we both tried to get the ball
She got it and ran across court but i read her move and stole the ball and ran the other side and did a dunk, she looked at me still calm. Shes smart, running that pattern and those crossovers arent easy.
I got the ball this time and i did a drive and when i was about to shoot she almost stole my ball and i did a shot from behind the hoop which made everyone gasp, one of my skills, being able to score from anywhere.
She doesnt seemed surprised though. This time she got the ball and i guarded her, she was struggling a bit but then... what the hell, why am i falling.
"Kneel" she said looking at my eyes while running, i fell to the ground looking at her score, she did an anklebreaker, shes really good.
I smirked as she helped me up, i put my fist up and she fist bumped with me
"A tie" she smiled for the first time. I guess our team would be pretty powerfull with a smart girl like her, i like her.
