"We have to find mom." I said.
"It's been about a day. She's gonna be far away." Alex said, shaking his head.
"We have to try, Alex. I can't just give up on her!" I yelled.
"I didn't say you had to give up." Alex said, clearly trying not to yell.
"Exactly!" I yelled.
I pulled on my black shoes along with my hoodie. I looked at Alex as I grabbed my phone, but immediately tossed it back on the bed.
"I don't want you or them to track me. I'm gonna find Mom." I said.
"Not without me. I can't let your dumbass get hurt." Alex said and I smiled.
"Let's go, bro." I said.
"Leave a note." Alex said, scribbling on a piece of paper.
"We will be back. We have to find Mom, I'm sorry." -Alex wrote on the paper.
"Let's go." I said.
