Mal saw a baby in a wagon, being pulled by it's mother when I saw her take the candy away from it and started licking it. As I stood next to Mal, we all started laughing and playfully pushing each other when I saw everyone run away from us. You know that means.

"Hi, mom." We said as our mother, Maleficent, appeared behind her knuckleheads.

"Stealing candy? I'm so disappointed." She said dramatically.

"It was from a baby." I said as Mal handed the lollipop over to her.

"That's my nasty little girls." She took the candy out of Mal's hand, spit on it, and placed it in her armpit before giving it to her knuckleheads.

"Give it back to the dreadful creature." She demanded.

"Mom.." Mal protested before our mother interrupted her.

"It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between and truly evil. When I was your age, I was cursing entire kingdoms." She reminded her.

"Cursing entire kingdoms." I heard her say as she dragged us away from the gang.

"See, I'm just, just trying to teach you girls the thing that really counts...how to be me."

"We know that. And we'll do better." I said to her.

"Ah! There's news! I buried the lede." She exclaimed, making us both jump.

"You five have been chosen to go to a different school...in Auradon." The rest of the gang tried to run away, but my mother's knuckleheads stopped them. They continued to struggle out of their grasp before I finally placed my hand up, telling them to stop.

"What? We're not going to some boarding school filled to the brim with prissy pink princesses." I complained.

"And perfect princes." Evie said excitedly as Mal gave her an annoyed look.

"Yeah and I don't do uniforms. Unless it's leather. You feel me?" Jay said as he held up his for me and Carlos to high-five. I high-fived him in return, but Carlos just left him hanging.

"I read somewhere that they allow dogs in Auradon. Mother said that they're rabid pack animals that eat boys who don't behave." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jay come up behind Carlos, pretending to be a dog while Carlos looked like he had almost jumped out of his skin.

"Yeah, Mom we're not going. Forget it." Mal said as I went to go stand next to Jay. I started messing around with the boys when I suddenly felt an arm wrapped around my waist. I looked up to see Jay smirking down at me. Long story short, Jay and I are best friends. We always have been, ever since we were kids and we always will be. He's always been protective of me for some reason, but I never complained about it. Evie always tried to tell me that he liked me as more than friends, but I never believed her. She's always the person that I could talk to about anything, even when it comes to boys. Mal and I are mostly the same, but at the same time we're so different from each other. I'm a mix between Mal and Evie combined. I have Mal's tough side, but I also have Evie's girly side. I may not dress like it, but I have that side of my personality, too. I didn't realize that I had spaced out until I realized that Jay was talking to me.

"You know that I'll protect you while we're there right?" He asked with a smirk. I pushed his arm away from my waist and started walking away.

"When have I ever needed protection?" I said as I put on a fake smile and walked with my mother. We all started walking into the castle that Mal and I lived in as I saw our mother sit in her 'throne' while filing her nails.

"You will go. You will find Fairy Godmother and you will bring me back her magic wand. Easy peasy." She said as she blew her nails.

"What's in it for us?" Mal asked.
