THIRTY TWO - The Sun Falls
The first thing that the Gilbert siblings decided to do with the supposed knowledge of Alaric's passing was paint, of course. it was more Harlow idea, she was the only one that wasn't really affected by Alaric's death being pretty calm when Elena had told her. she was slightly upset as it just meant that the plague of death really did follow her around but compared to her siblings, she was fine.
she then noticed that fine was a strong word to describe herself at the moment. fine to an extent, she had reached the stage of denial, had kissing griffin. she was not responding to his calls nor texts and made Elena cover for her when he came knocking on her door.
she felt slight guilt, it wasn't like she and Klaus were together. not that she cared about it however she did resent the idea of ever having to tell Klaus about the kiss, as Harlow thought it over she decided that if it ever came up Klaus wouldn't care. why should he? and it's not like he would ever know.
Elena draped a white cover over an armchair while the four of them including Daniel, the honorary member of the family, got the paint ready. neither Jeramy of Elena brought up that Daniel was living in their house and always with Harlow. the two siblings had decided that he has stayed long enough without dying so what choice did they have.
