Court Of Owls

I will probably only be doing one more actual one shot for Maribat March but I'll do head canons if asked.

So I've been reading a lot of Batlantern (Hal Jordan/Bruce Wayne) content lately so that has heavily influenced the idea making section of my brain.

Also keep in mind, I don't know much about the Court of Owls,

MLB canon happens, no salt or anything, Adrien and Mari get together by the time their 20s. They defeated hawkmoth when they were 18 and gave the miraculous back to the guardians of the temple. When they were 24ish and Mari's family and Adrien were in a limo driving to a big company banquet (adrien to over gabriel's and changed it up a bit) they crashed, killing everyone but Mari. Officially tho, she's also dead.But a Talon on a mission had come to the party and knew who she was(Mari got Sabine to teach her some martial arts and she got some outside training for ladybug purposes and kept up the training cause why not)The talon was like, hmm this half dead body might b e usefulShe went through the process of becoming a talon, trained for a while and all. Then Batman fucked up the Court of Owls and she say an opportunity to leaveSo she packed her favorite weapons and spent a couple days hacking into max-proofed servers to retrieve photos of her and her family.She went backpacking through America and stopped in warm & sunny California, Coast City to be exact.Coast City wasn't as active with crime as Gotham but was still more protected than some random city so it was perfectShe got a job as a personal assistant at Ferris Air, to badass CEO Carol Ferris (im going with good Carol who is annoyed friend-boss to Hal)She wears full coverage makeup to cover the paleness and veins and at some point she rushes to work and Carol notices her close-to-whiteish-grey skin'Honey, are you okay? You're really pale.''It's a just a skin condition, I'll be fine.''You sure? That doesn't look healthy.''I'm sure Miss Ferris, anyways, you have an appointment tomorrow-"But Carol finds out when Mari takes a bullet for her at a gala.Mari explains everything (court of owls and how she doesn't want Batman to find her) and everything's great.until Hal confesses to Carol that Batman is coming to Coast on a hunchShe tries to find any excuse for her and Mari to leave like a surprise business trip but coincidently Bruce Wayne is coming to conference with her about test piloting the WayneTech's newest plane
